We’re too nice in the transfer market and get done over constantly.

Before Pep came along and after Mancini was shown the door, i always fancied that Diego Simeone was a manager i'd like to see at City. Still think he would be better than Pep

He'd have to go some to be better. Maybe 101 points, the domestic treble the same season as the treble.
Simeone is toxic, saw that in our battles against them the other year. The Argentinian version of Big Sam in playing style as well.

He has been there 14 years and is the worlds best paid manager...took Atletico from being shite to breaking up the RM / Barcelona monopoly and has stayed there..won plenty of trophies and his players die on the pitch for him in just about every game...regardless of how big shithouses we think of them.

Simeone gets more out of his players than anyone else.

Exactly Carl. Pep learnt all he knows from Cruyff but he forgot to read the chapters on defending without the ball, team selection and game management. It seems he read the chapter on how to fuck up a World Cup final and burned it into his brain. Our collapses this season put the Dutch vs West Germany in the shade

When you say plenty of trophies. He's won Europa twice which means he didn't qualify for the Champions League or failed in the group stage. He's won 2 major trophies in 14 years

So winning la liga twice doesn’t count ?

He’s up against arguably the 2 best teams in the world year on year - we are / were up against Liverpool with the rest making up the numbers.

He has won La Liga twice, the Copa del Rey, two UEFA Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, as well as being runner-up of the UEFA Champions League twice

He’s spent half of what pep has spent on players.

^^^^^^

And he does a good impression of Tom Waits .

Besides Carl, he won't come to us. He's rooted in Atletico.

He’s on 30 odd million pounds a year - I don’t blame him ))

Jacob Wright has ended up at Norwich. The loan deal with Swansea collapsed.

Buzzing about that. Only 19 so he needs loans, NOT selling. He’ll be with Calum Doyle

I saw him only once, when we played them in the quarter final. He came on in the second half & I think he made the penalty for 1-1. He looked similar to Doku in style.

Turns out Barca only get 13 million euros not 24 million from the sale of Nico. Porto had already bought out a lot of their share of any resale.

I see Joao Felix was shipped off to AC. We were tentatively linked with him in the summer and gladly we never went there. Way over rated.

We were heavily linked with him before he went to Athletico. I genuinely think he’s ruined his career by going there for the money. Playing for a manager that’s ultra defensive has ruined Felix’s game.

I've always seen him as a bit of a soft arse, lightweight. Never been impressed.

That’s my take. Two central defenders are still needed. If McAtee is a 4th sub a swap for Marc Guehi who is 23
would have worked for me. I would even rattle Arsenal with a bid for Gabriel !!!! Fuck em.

Miracles were never going to happen in January but a good window, walkers departure a big plus. Already like the look of Marmoush and nico Gonzales is good business imo. The other incoming players I know very little about but time will tell.

The answer to that is "Would you have been happy if we'd done nowt?". I'd say we're stronger now than before the window opened, so that's a plus. But there'still big, big work to do in the summer, though.

We are watching the decline of this side live. No shame it happens.
Great as it’s been. Nobody waits now, we have to act like what we are WINNERS.

The man who doesn't play youngsters has bought three youngsters. One has already been sent on loan and with the run of fixtures we have I'll be gobsmacked if any of them get any substantial minutes until April. Maybe should have told Walker he'd have to stay until summer as his replacement has been one of the biggest disasters I've seen in a City back four. Marmoush looked decent in the Chavs game but not sure what his best position is or whether Pep will play him there anyway. Don't know enough about Gonzalez to comment but hope to God he's not another Phillips or Nunes.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.
