I am stunned.
The comfort is that even with a 2-1 lead we would have had zero chance at Francos place.
Doubt we will get top 4 or 5.
Soon the 115 will kick in aswell.
Bury away beckons.

Say what you want about Rico, but he was all alone when the season wonder mr foden helped fuck all.

That is all, to be honest.
I want to say more about Foden and he is not even close to Palmer, or about those players made of glass, but why bother.
It’s been a nightmare of a season.

Fodens creativity won us the pen

Only decent moment he had, the rest he was a calamity. Passes under pressure, same like with Arse.
His personal life took over a player who at some point looked like a leader.

Fucking fuming. Dreadful from Ederson. Hit a long ball to Haaland by all means but a low flat drive straight at a Madrid player? Rico actually did ok but two bad errors. He got to the byline and then hammered a ball at Haaland giving him no chance and then that mistake at the end when we were caught upfield. Two infuriating late goals yet again. Words fail me.

Why is Rico getting the stick for the third goal when Kovacic passed the ball like a bellend and put him under pressure?

At 2 - 1 up I was expected for us to fuck it up, so I am not shocked at all.
But we'll be destroyed out there. Hope Pep doesn't rest anyone against Newcastle because that is the far more important game now.
This tie is done.

It’s on Pep putting him in there Kushanov would have been a better option, anyone who can defend to any level would be. Even in possession he practically holding hands with Kovacic when he came on was a waste having him inverting into centre.

Kovacic on the second goal is ahead of Diaz and standing watching doesn’t react when the ball back off Ederson and leaves a simple tap in, not good enough player of his supposed level. What the fuck Ederson was trying to do with the kick out is beyond me. 2-1 up, put the ball down to Haaland down the side and play from there. Managed to go from good position to practical lost cause in 6 minutes.

Players look to have no energy which doesn’t bode well for the next 3 games which come very fast.
No idea what some see in Rico Lewis he is fucking shit, not even Championship level.Everything about his game is horrible. Soon as he came on i knew everything would come down his side and he would cost us the game.

He passes the Ball then starts gesticulating to team mates like a Traffic Cop.

Three injuries too. The inevitable Ake plus Grealish plus Akanji. That didn’t help. Stones did well. Hes class when he’s fit. Savinho was disappointing. No final delivery. Pep didnt fancy playing Marmoush ( until right at the death) or Nico who may have been still suffering a bit from his clattering.Need them now against Newcastle. No sense in worrying about the Bernabeu now except for pride. They were at least worth a draw tonight. Full of attacking threat every time they got possession. We’re well short against that calibre of opposition at the moment.

Sorry Rico but always out of position and slow to get back. Not quick enough and never a full back.

Can't blame Lewis when Kovacic plays that stupid wierd pass in the air like that. That goal was all Kova's fault. But then Lewis and Dias could have taken tactical fouls and Ederson should have also been out a lot quicker. Even Stones should have just given away the pen and taken the red.

600 defenders and we can't defend. Pep just can't set up defence and hasn't got class midfielders to bail him out.

Pep just spent 200m and we're no better. I'm in two minds whether he can turn it around even with new players next season. Do we wait until it gets worst or go for a new manager?

So many games we end up losing from a winning position.

The common denominators are known by all of us on here.

Yet Pep STILL makes the same mistakes.

Newcastle will not be easy. They play the high energy pressing game that will cause our defence to unravel. Not that they need any help, they can can unravel with zero pressure. I think we will likely lose this game, not being defeatist, just realistic, we are not very good at the moment. Also Pep has had a shocking Season, still making costly mistakes and showing zero signs of game management.
