Lovely , 5-1 it is then

Best performance the whole season and I don't care that it was against Newcastle...our whole link up pressing play was superb and our defense was better than its ever been.

I admit there are still parts where we have issues but some of the changes some fans are asking for are the same as the team that last played RM.

RB is the only possible change that I can see being justifiably changed.

That's the biggest challenge. Rico cannot start for me BUT gundo ahead of Nico worked Saturday without a doubt. If we play Khus at rb, does that work with stones and dias? Tempted to say it does but its gundo v kdb and maybe kdb comes on if we are chasing it

It's not worth speculating. Which ever selection is made. We need an early goal to get back level. Thereafter, it's game on.

Great result and all, but the way this season has gone I’m far from thinking we’ve turned the corner yet.

KDB is a liability these days when it comes to not losing the ball - he will need plenty of protection behind him if pep decides to play him, and even if he starts him, he wont last the game IMO...gets injured or is knackered far too easily these days.

I would leave him on the bench.

Agree regarding possession and fitness.i would play same team except for Rico. If Dias is fit, shuffle Khusi to RB he has pace to cover flanks. Khusi will turn into a legend at City

As much as I would love us to win. I'm not getting my hopes up to avoid disappointment. Ultimately it will be better for us to get knocked out and concentrate on PL position and getting our new players bedded in. We have the Argentinian wonder kid arriving soon, so there is hope, but I think the CL this year is a waste of our efforts

Haaland Grealish Dias and Ake all trained today and will presumably make the plane to Madrid. Haaland and Dias will surely start tomorrow. Ake or Khusanov? Grealish or Marmoush? I’d play Khusanov and Marmoush.

He seemed in discomfort on Saturday but apparently it was nothing much. Joe Bray was watching carefully and he didn’t seem to have any problems.

How any fan can even contemplate paying Grealish is borderline madness.

(He’s probably still got a hangover for my the other night anyway )

Grealish was playing well in the first leg before he got taken off and he’s excellent at keeping the ball and tracking back so it’s not quite as obvious as you say. We need goals so I’d definitely start Marmoush.

The ref that sent off Bellengham in the weekend because he told him to ”fuck off” was suspended for a week in the spanish league.
I expect us to be fucked over if we play good.

Didn't read any of the reports of the incident but heard he had said that but was trying to spin it as it meant something different - fucking lemon. Mind, I did read sn article claiming Franco's boys were considering moving from La Liga due to the unfavourable decisions against them. Horrible set of cunts on a par with scouse and that's saying something

He's one of the best players we have at being able to control the tempo of a match and keep hold of the ball.

I think we'll benefit from some chaos for a change though so agree that I wouldn't start him, but 'usual' City in top form and he's one of the first names on the team sheet, especially in Europe.

I bet he starts both legs of the next round match v Atleti

Lad in office said yesterday they want move to one of

Bundeslesgue
Series A
Or Ligue 1

They will be hated wherever they went, assuming those league's would even entertain the idea! Which they won't

not out of the scary woods yet , i prefer to wait until he's played a game without problems. Tricky blighters are knee ligaments.
Probably bored this forum to death regarding my cartilage op in left knee full recovery, closely followed by an ACL injury in right knee. Took 2 years of physio to pronounce my knee was fucked. 4 in plaster, carbon ligament fitted, never played football or rugby again. When it happened i was 25 and as fit as a butchers dog.
Watching a knee injury happen makes make puke . Gascoigne was in plaster at the same time after his cup final injury. Fucked his career somewhat as well as the booze.
I fully accept i am a doom merchant
