It is a torment to see us at the moment.

I am ok on splashing the money on players, but I was looking at us with the ball last night and was certain how that play or pass would go. I didn't play even in the Sunday League and can see that, imagine other managers. We are that predictable.

But again, the only way he goes is if he wants and realizes he can't turn this around. He won't. There is his ego. And for the moment his ego is bigger than the club.

We saw a tired, jaded team devoid of energy and ideas, walking football, Madrid could have played with 9. Were still needing a major revamp (we needed 7 we might have gotten 3 of them). We also need a proper reset in the summer. However this world cup rubbish in the summer basically means no preseason and no proper break, surely that competition is exactly what this team does not need now.

Assuming Pep gets a go at another season, we start badly, which could well happen, how long does he get?

i think some of the senior players are not playing for him anymore.

We were well beaten over 2 Legs by Madrid.I accept that. Still the fact remains 4 of the Goals we conceded were absolute Gifts on our part.

Mistakes you don't even see at under 21 level. A keeper constantly caught out of position to be lobbed over, Shots that he constantly parry's directly in front of him instead of to the side. Experienced defenders making calamity after calamity week in ,week out.

We know Gundogan, and Bernie are well past it, yet Pep still persists against fast paced Midfields.

Foden is playing like a 45 year old Sunday League player.

We look unfit, and slow.

We have had our moments this Season, Forest at Home, co-incidentally the last time i thought Grealish had a decent game playing in the Middle before Pep dropped him for the next game again. And Newcastle last weekend, before Pep went all mad-scientist for last nights capitulation with zero effort.

Not much to disagree with here. Our half decent performances can be counted on one hand this season. The staleness was evident last season and we were a tad fortunate to win the PL. We flatter to deceive, an empty shell of a manager being taken advantage of by numerous players.
Conceding in 4 minutes, Stones crying off after 8 minutes. Why not tell the travelling fans in advance that we weren't going to try.

How were we a tad fortunate to win the PL last season. We were unbeaten from December. You could say we were a tad unfortunate not to win the treble for the 2nd year in a row.
We were well beaten last night definitely, we should have won the home leg and it could have been different.
Everyone on here was clamouring for Gundo to play after Saturday, he was shit again yesterday but the common denominator again is Silva. We’re great every time he doesn't play

In Peps first season we performed similar to this and won fuck all.

The following season we got 100 points!!

I think everyone needs to be scared of us next season. I am ever the optimist

Exactly. So much negativity . The team needs rebuilding .

Patience is needed.

There is only so much one can take watching PeP play shit performing players on a weekly basis......and then play them in a must win game...he has learnt fuckall this season from his mistakes , if anything , he persists.

There is nothing to be positive about when he manages us like this.

Last season we won by 2 points, our margin reducing steadily. We were indifferent up to New Year , other teams were finding ways to stifle and beat us. Lost to our rivals, beat by Real Madrid , beat by utd in FA Cup , when we should have stuffed both of them. Haaland performance tapering off in goals per minute. Arteta's Arsenal scared us big time and their collapse helped us big time. Summer friendlies were shite and our performances this year have been shocking. I didn't want gundo to play, he was too slow when he first came, only 1 great season 3/4 years ago. When he left he was on the wane. ALWAYS a Pep favourite. He had one half decent game last weekend but that was due to Nico covering his arse.

Winning by 2 points is irrelevant, we went unbeaten for 5 months to do that. Says loads about the character. We've won it by 1 point against Liverpool twice Only rival we lost to in the league was Arsenal by a deflection in the last minute.
Wembley was shit definitely.

All true.

But Pep was a decade younger and presumably with greater hunger to prove himself in England. Has he the fight for another rebuild? I guess time will tell

10 years older, 10 years more experienced. I don't see age as a problem. How old is the Madrid manager ?

All this love between Pep and Gundo, I think things are not as great between them as we have the impression.

10 yrs more experience Zuri? Would you give Pep the ££s and trust him to rebuuld based on his performances since we lost Rodders? Not a chance I would and I'd be mightily surprised if we do even with chumps league

Wembley was shit definitely.

It shows a decline, and a trend of rivals catching us. Stats are great aren't they but truth is we couldn't beat any decent side in the last 5 months, could only draw against our closest rivals and got beat in 2 Cup finals by inferior teams ( utd certainly ) Madrid showed that we didn't have the character when it mattered. We were bossed in those finals embarrassingly. It isn't just Rodri missing that has caused this alarming drop off. I expect teams to recycle, to dip and go again if players age or leave but or decline has shocked the football world by its rapidity and manner. To claim otherwise or called fans alarmist is deluded. In any other club, or industry, heads would have rolled by now. The manner in which we have collapsed is tbh inexcusable. Tactics, team selection, morale, game management, fitness standards is all questionable. Personally I think Pep has been through some kind of mental breakdown, he looks burned out at times, talks in riddles and his behaviour is often odd ( head scratch marks is a form of self harm/ extreme behaviour)

All of us on this site have no idea what is really going on.

The first year he came there were many doubts and doubters.

Until this season everything has been fantastic.

It is unbelievable that supporters , as on this forum. Think they know better than most probably the best manager of all time.

I think he deserves the time to rebuild and i am pretty sure it will happen.

The money invested in infrastructure - hotels , stadium expansion , are all part of the development of City.

If Pep knew it wasn't working , he will go by himself.

He knows full well the way we play isn't working.

People calling for his head is just plain stupid
