You forgot the 3 most important causes.
1 aging players.
2 shite signings.
3 pathetic squad planning.

It’s nothing to do with fatigue. These are professional athletes with the best facilities and sports science available to them.

It’s all of the above. In varying degrees of importance. But all are relevant in one way or another

What has happened has happened and to a large extent is still happening

The question is whether the club structure of management is still working and can they fix it. If so then great. If not, then how long do we persevere before changing?

All are valid, but ultimately Pep's tactics of highline, tippy tappy, no defence against a quick breakaway and worst of all no variation of tactics. Saw it only once when Akanji actually retreated with the ball back into our own half to draw the opposition out of defence, then hit them with a quick through ball

There had to be a dip at some point, absolutely incredible that we won the league to make it 4 in a row straight after the treble.
A lot of players in their last season, Kev, Bernardo, Eddie, Gundo I'd guess. Walker won't play for us again.
We'll be hungry again next season, if we can get in the top 5, secure CL for next season and possibly win the FA Cup it'll be a better season than Arsenal if they only come 2nd.
We'll have the nucleus then of the 4 new signings alongside the kid with Argentina at the minute, Sav, Foden, Haaland, Gvardiol, Bobb,, Rico a hopefully fit Rodri, Doku. In other words a young team ready to fight again.
Doesn't suit the narrative of some on here but it's fact.

oasis reforming
we were on the up until they became famous in the mid 90s and went to shit as they got big.
they broke up in 2009 and we all know what happened after that
got back together in september and we did a whole pile of stupid collabs with them
they are 100% the cause of our recent demise

What worries me is it seems we are rushing Rodri. His inclusion in the UCL, news he will be back at the end of the season. For what? What is the point? Let him recover, have the summer to get his fitness back with the squad and have him at the start of the next season.

Rushing him will risk another injury.

I'd be surprised if he played at all, but I totally get the club putting him in the CL squad.

Could you imagine the condemnation if we make it to the final; Rodri's played a few league games and yet he's not available because we picked another defender?
Fans would be going mad and calling a gross mistake.

We won't get passed Real on Wednesday so it'll be irrelevant.

Nice to see Alvarez finding form and game time at Athletico. It's a mystery how Pep could never find space for him on a regular basis. A bigger loss than Palmer

He did find space for him on a regular basis, he was one of our most used players last season

Not shit, not a patch on Haaland though who has 20 league goals to Alvarez's 10 and 8 CL goals against Alvarez's 6 in a bad season]

Age
Exhausted players
Injuries
Some poor signings

In roughly that order. We’ll be back, time for Pep’s second rebuild
Tracking back is overrated.

Only found space due to injuries of Haaland, Silva, De Bruyne.
Never really a support partner to Haaland it was either or. Pep didn't really play them together. When Alvarez was started inariably it was as a lone striker and thats not his strength and like many others his form dipped. Fairly common event with players under Pep. Stats show they only really played 6 or 7 full games together. The won all but 1 , when Wolves fluked a 2-1 win. I always like to see a true centre forward with a partner hanging off and supplorting each other. With the dominance we show in possession, it seems a natural formation. Perhaps Haaland will flourish with Mamoush
He flourished in Argentinas sides, he's doing well under Simeone ( despite a view held by some that Athletico are negative) .

Cold light of day it was good business to make a profit after just 2 years and move hime on, but in my opinion we fucked him over. We now have another Argentinian starlet with us, he looks to be a great player but is he going to be used correctly or is he going to suffer because Pep wants to extend De Bruyne's contract?

It was great business if we qualify for the CL this season and it was diabolical business if we do not qualify.
As you say , pep fucks up so many players natural game that its become the norm with him...lets see where he plays the 'new Messi' we supposedly have.
