Players in the top division are rarely, if ever, utter dogshit. Players in league 2 might be considered that sometimes. And even then, they are miles better than anyone you’ve ever played with at school or in a 5 a side or Sunday mornings.

And if a current England international playing for a side second in the league and who’ve just beaten Madrid in their backyard to advance to the CL semifinals is classed as utter dogshit I dread to think what the standard of the rest of the league is

Well, if the referee sends a player off for an innocuous trip,(second yellow) and the trainer takes the dangerous young striker off for a defender and your ten man team is happy to allow the opposition to have the ball ,the opposition will try to reduce the two goal deficit. The rags took their few chances in extra time. It is still odd though that they are really crap in the PL.

All UEFA competitions have been diluted to bring more cash in.

I wonder how many games were actually sold out in these 'Bigger' ( in terms of number of teams) competitions this season ?
