Pep’s signings when he came in were Bravo (100% a Pep signing because he wanted a keeper to play with the ball at his feet) and Nolito….

His 1st signing was Gundo.
Doesn't mean he didn't give recommendations the previous year

Did he not sign Bravo and Nolito then?

I thought Pep’s first signing was Kev….

He signed Gundo 1st, then Bravo and Noliito.
He recommended Kev the previous year, it's not rocket science. Many more have said it

Looking back in hindsight its a shame they didn't get some recommendations for full backs for that first season...

Pep recommended Roberto Carlos to us in the 90s but we didn’t listen to him

So Pep, under contract with Bayern, recommended players to City one year earlier before coming here.
And the germans, who are one of the most corrupt clubs in the world, part of the cartel, had no issues with that?

Why on earth do you think Bayern would know about any recommendation ? If such things actually took place .

Further , why should Bayern care ? When he played for Wolfsburg, he thoroughly enjoyed playing against Bayern.

I'm sure Pep has been in contact with the Spafia ever since he was at Barca.

Having seen De Bruyne playing against München, he might easily recommend him in a casual conversation , when asked.

There is no harm in that.

Before De Bruyne came to us , watching him in the Bundesliga on several occations take teams apart - many City fans i know were hoping City might
make a move for him. And so it came to pass.

By the way, he missed a few games though injury at Wolfsburg. He did however light up the league there when playing.

“There is no harm in that”

Would there be no harm in it if he recommend a player to Barca while at City? Of course there would be.

He’d most likely be in breach of contract.

Breach of contract ? do you actually know his contract ? Of course you do not .

You should look up Contract Law and what it is about.

Funny that, equally - do you know his personal conversation and who he does and doesn’t recommend?

No i do not , but i did not write that did i ? read what was written. please stop misquoting .

As is clear from what i wrote above, it was speculative. "Might" , you know a "Modal" verb . As in, if the subject every came up, Pep just MIGHT recommend a player.

Modal verbs as in the classic "Should of" instead of "Should have " , Could , Would ...... and so on .

The same Pep who agreed the City contract with the Spafia whilst under contract at Bayern yeah- how on earth did that happen and then straight after starting here took Gundo and Sane from German clubs right under Bayerns noses. Unbelievable isn't it

Agreeing a contract with a new employer is standard practice when you’re currently in a job.

Feeding another club information isn’t.

So was Bielsa in the wrong, too, for feeding us info on Phillips? If so, can we get our money back?

He’d already left Leeds at the time - probably one last laugh recommending Phillips before he fucked off back home. He’s probably still telling his grandkids about the time he recommended the worst footballer in the world to the best team in the world and the manager lapped it up
