Why would the dippers play their best players and risk injuries in what for them is a dead rubber? It isn’t as if they can go unbeaten or break records

I really like Palmer, but I watched that match against Liverpool and he was bang average. The smoke being blown up his arse after one game is very weird. BBC have two stories on him on their main page. Is that normal?!

the dippers being shit on sunday was why he looked good but he will never flourish under managers like pep or maresca who drill their players to do specific roles. he was great under poch because he was allowed to just play.
