Not today it isn't. And by the daft team he picked at Southampton, you wouldn't think it had any importance at all :D

What are the odds he picks a similar side ( if not the exact same one ) as he did against Southampton ?

Unfortunately nobody on the planet knows what lunacy he'll come up with today

FFS it's a cup final and some on here have already saying we are going to get beat, last year I think that we was over celebrating a bit with winning 4 in a row, un professional yes but understandable with what we did. Some would of had kittens in the 90s but I still went still hopefully that we would win a game, so grow some and what ever the team get behind them at Wembley if you are there
COME ON CITY
Oh and yes I do moan but still behind the team

Last season’s final was a disgrace that still rankles with me and probably will for a long time yet. We were so unprofessional and were punished by a quite dreadful rag outfit. Palace will be a tougher proposition so I hope we have prepared well and are up for it. I know there's been rumours Pep has been in Spain but they are unfounded I believe do we will have to wait and see if we are game.

Three finals in a row is no mean achievement either. We've got experience in our corner and we've played at Wembley, (Etihad South), nearly two dozen times under Pep. And as such we are big favourites at the bookies.

Hope KDB doesn't start today. His legs have gone and his radar is out of sync. I also would be inclined to start Marmoush. Whether that's with Haaland or instead of him is up for debate.

Can see a close game where we win
2-1 Kovavic and Marmoush

And to all the blues travelling today. Stay safe and have a brilliant day my friends

Yes i agree, FA cup final day used to be an all day event with a huge build up. It's a knockout between supporters of each club, a question of sport FA cup special, build up of the journey clubs took to the final along with any upsets that happened along the way. The beeb start their coverage 65 minutes before KO and will no doubt focus on Palace....

Last year was a disgrace and as a result we handed the rags a way back into chumps league next season if they beat spuds.

Marmoush has to start, not only his pace, he must take all our corners without fail. O'reilly must also start.

I could have been there today, but I'll be fucked if I am paying £255.

He needs to go back to the team before last week's debacle against the saints, the one that put a run together.

We also need to put this to bed within the 90 minutes as we go again Tuesday.

An early goal is definitely needed to shut their fans up.

C'mon City

Genuinely don't think there's one poster that doesn't have a moan but still gets behind the team. It's the City fan way (I sat in the Kippax in the 90s and heard it all)

A tradition.

If the Tueart/Hartford team weren't 3 up after 15 minutes there was hell up in the late 70s

Me and my eldest were also in the new Kippax in the 90s, whilst it was being built and the next 3 seasons. Long distance STs.

Horrific times

Enjoying my first Guinness in my usual pre-final haunt, The Beaten Docket on Cricklewood Broadway. A Wetherspoons, so cheap beer. After £125 for my ticket, a hotel and travel down from Durham I'm not spending £7.50 for a pint of warm cat's piss near the ground. Always plenty of Blues in here pre-match, too.

Right back is a tough one. Nunes or Lewis - Lewis scored in the semi, but Nunes has done a job for us.

Akanji may well get the nod, though I would put my money on Nunes

Our best run was with Nunes. I think we have more structure going forward with him, despite losing the ball occasionally. Was Rico playing midfield that semi game? Can't remember.

I think he'll play Akanji. That will either be at right back or, more likely and unfortunately, at cb with Gvardiol at lb

If Akanji plays it's an absolute disgrace FFS.

Come on mate. They are 12th after all and we pissed them at home.

I reckon the 1st half they will be dangerous. But by the end we'll have bored them to death, no, tired them out!

I wouldn’t be thrilled with him playing but he is the only one who can actually defend

Because Nunes and Lewis have played their part in getting us here. Just like it was a disgrace Hart was shoehorned in for the final against Wigan. Simple as

Mase gets very excited. What he means is, he'd prefer it if Akanji wasn't picked. :D

Personally I would prefer:

Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly

.....because that was the defence that won a few on the trot.

There are conundrums - O'Reilly may be exposed against Palace but is good going foward. Gvardiol is even worse against fast wingers but great at CB. Akanji is quite quick. But can't see him being left back.
