According to the commentator , apparently Cole ( Porter) Palmer, on a different level, walks on water.

I thought that was only Dennis Tueart ??

After Chelsea's Conference League final in Wroclaw, Poland, we spoke to Cole Palmer. He told us he was sick of going sideways and backwards and that he simply decided to go for it when he set up the goals which won them that trophy over Real Betis. At the time, we did wonder privately how that would go down with Enzo Maresca, and clearly, Palmer's words touched a slight nerve with his manager as the Blues boss brought it up during his post-match press conference after beating Los Angeles FC. Maresca told us: 'After the Conference League final he said that he was quite bored receiving the ball and so he decided to do something different.'

Pep has also consistently failed to let talented players fully express themselves. Unless that mindset changes next season, we’ll be stuck with the same tedious cycle of sideways and backwards passing.

Hopefully, that approach is finally put to rest.

Agree wirh this. Pep has been backed in the past 2 windows and it's up to him to deliver. Honestly, I don't know if he has it within himself to change his approach. He HAS to following last seasons shit-show. If he can take the brakes off his safety first possession based approach we could be right back up there for some time looking at the age of the squad. Looking forward to seeing us tomorrow and how we set up

All I asked was if it is only Dennis Tueart that walks on water.

I didn't expect a Spanish Inquisition ! ( both Managers ARE indeed Spanish).

No relevance to Pep at all.
Yesterday again, Palmer was a lazy git. Did nothing of any significance at all. Wellied the ball over the crossbar into zow treble Z in the second half. If that is what is meant by expressing themselves. Several times he had loads of space to move and go forward, nothing came of it.

City wingers for example , do express themselves, they get down the line countless times.

It is not Peps fault they don't always get the final ball right.

It is Peps fault for selecting them though.

Kev constantly expressed himself with countless goals and assists.
Foden his Player of the Year season, how many times did he cut in from the right and curl one into the top left corner.
Marmoush has already scored a good few from outside the box.
Rodri scores loads from the edge of the box.
Can't wait to see Cherki

Back a couple of years when we would often score early and maybe get another we would the resort to the possession style when we were managing leads. Last season we were managing being level, that has to change this season. I don’t mind the possession, sideways stuff when we’re 2/3-0 up but not from the start of the game.

I expect Linders and Kolo to bring something different. We are missing the pressing.

I also think we are a player behind in being fantastic again. I think if we manage to pull one and bring Rodrygo from Madrid we will be unstopable next season.

From what I have read, it seems the coaches last season just lost all motivation and became completely ineffective — which probably explains a lot.”

Yeah, the Gold Cup is being played in the USA at the same time in the same country (18,200 went to watch Panama v. Guadeloupe the other day), and they have to 'maximize global viewership', meaning games are played at completely odd times.

They can stick 0200 GMT up their arses. Pep has said there will be 10 changes to start on the OS.
