That last statement concerns me too. My initial thoughts on the derby are we are going to be eating a dollop of humble pie

Was in my local last night where all the watch them on the telly fans are very excited about their chamces next weekend. So much so that they're snapping up £20 bets for the red shit and draw - yes draw which shows how "confident " they are. Also, Pep didn't win either game last season so we'd better sort our shit out

Fun fact, Amorim has to win the next 15 games in a row to have a 50% win rate in the premier league

Ever get the feeling we're trolling them on a 5D chess level. When there were stories about Pep moving on we were rumoured with being interested in Amorin. Add to that Slabby, Sanchez, Pogba, Sancho and Fred and I think we just get these stories out there so they can swoop in and "steal" our targets, while Mansour laughs on a pile of money about them falling for another one.

if our transfer business had been stellar in the past 5 years, this might be true

There is some truth in that, but I think we've just signed a Ballon D'or winner this summer.

So there is that.

Assuming Slim is referring to Cherki. Looks to have all the talent in the world but time will tell if he's got the balls to shine in the PL. Hope so but early days

100%.

I don't know if anyone saw him in last season's Europa but the man can dance with the ball at his feet.

I had hoped we'd also get Kvaratskhelia but that many David Silva's in a team would be overkill.

Alexander Arnold out 2 months after he just came back from an injury at Madrid.

The scouse special juices really are something.

I think we've been doing it all along.

Fred, Pogba and Sanchez all immediately spring to mind, but there are loads more.

The raggy fans were crowing over nicking Amorim from under our noses, until it dawned on them he was another false messiah.

If you look at our purchases, there's never much media coverage of them signing until they do. Conversely, when the media are full of us chasing someone, they invariably don't sign, and more often than not end up at the rags. You'd have thought the rags would have got wise to it by now, but they're so desperate to get one over on us, any sort of logic goes out of the window.

All very entertaining.

Had about 3 different injuries at Scouse last season, ankle and a couple of hamstrings
