Savinho is fucking wank. If Spurs come back in with a decent offer, we should snatch their hands off. Thought we were reasonably comfortable with Jeremy playing up in place of Haaland with his pace always likely to cause them issues. Then Savinho comes on and does his half-arsed routine and invites even more pressure.

This has always been my beef against any striker, if a player is in a better position , give it to him. that was easy to see. How on earth did Erling get his goal today ? because he was in the best position. btw Kun was this greedy at times and Doku last season. Although Doku so far this season has played really , really well.

come on, he came on in the 87th minute with orders to defend, what is he supposed to do ? Take the game by the scruff of the neck?

That was the moment.

5 at the back and another stupid lapse in concentration. Same for 18 months.

If we had lost that after those Subs we could not have complained.

when doku went past 3 arsenal players in last 10 min and put ball over not fucking 1 was nowhere in the area, haaland would of been,

He did jog about, whereas Haaland, Doku and Bernardo sprinted to close defenders all game. He just came on, I thought he could've put in at least some sprinting

No idea what some see in him he is fucking shit. Lazy half arsed player, goes down when breathed on, offers nothing. No idea why he brought on a loose Canon who loses the Ball 9 times out of 10 whilst trying to grind out a result where keeping possession was key.

This 100%

Plus Haaland is good at holding the Ball up.

Was the Subs that killed us.

Same players who have been making mistakes for nearly 2 years.

I've been a fan, but I said that we made a huge mistake keeping him.

Put some effort in as a bare minimum and perhaps do something. He could have been on the pitch for the whole game and it would have been the same old.
He has now been here over a season and very rarely does he have any encouraging points (Leicester away, last season perhaps?).

Ah so he is to blame for Ake not holding the line ? for Nico losing the ball just beforehand? Some people just like to just pick on players for the sake of it.

Of course not but he offers nothing. You would like to think that there would be an improvement this season as there was when we signed Leroy Sane for example. Never going to happen.

It feels liked a kick in the dick but we’d all have taken a point before kick off.

Some progress maybe, I dunno, some strength returning in some areas, Haaland back to 2022/23 mode.

A point gained imo.

All in all yes.

Moving on to Huddersfield.

For the sake of 10 mins I'd have left Doku on and given him the next game off. They were terrified of him on the counter and Savinho had nothing like the same threat.

Pep tried something different, it didn't quite work out but a draw at the Emirates isn't something to be sniffed at.

There are still encouraging signs and it seems the new backroom staff are having some influence.

Before the derby people were worrying about these 3 games and we've won 2 and drawn 1. It's so frustrating that we were close to winning all three but we'll be fine I think. Liverpool are only a VVD injury away from a crisis, they've not been that impressive so let everyone keep blowing smoke up their arses for now

I liked this new cynical side of City. Thought we were great in the first half. We were happy with conceding possession and we're dangerous on the counter. Did they have one good attempt in the first half?

In the second our legs went, so I understand Pep's pragmatic approach. It did almost work.

I thought Bernardo was one of our better players and that Reijnders was more than alright. Nico is growing into the left back role and, despite the early slip, Nunes did alright. That said, him playing right back gives me the shivers.

Foden's been returning to form, but this was a game that largely past him by. My MoM was Doku.

As a squad and team City are not quite there yet. However as has been said, two wins and an away point at the Arse has been a good week.

It is strange because Savio was very impressive at Girona. Perhaps the uprade to the premier league is a step too far for him. He shows signs of good play but on the whole he has not played well since he joined us.
