Oscar Bobb, a player who has a lot of minutes this season, was really poor tonight. This is supposed to be his season, I am not seeing it.

Raised the tempo as soon as he came on. Been one of our best players this season.

Hoping him and Cherki enjoy playing together and strike up a relationship on the pitch as they both have quick feet and quick brains

if we had proper full backs that could get down the line to provide width, foden + cherki behind haaland would be amazing

Unfortunately Bobb is like Silva on the wing, rarely go past his full back and gets a cross in.

Cherki will provide some magical moments for us, but I guarantee he will frustrate us 10x more. He is a talent, but a luxury player, pep doesn't usually do those.

Some of the negativity by the Pep haters is unbelievable.
We change 10 players, get 90 minutes out of Marmoush and Cherki, great goals for both. Cherki MOTM by a mile, good run outs for Ait Nouri and Khus. Only negative was Bobb's performance.Hopefully Cherki's fit for weekend.

Typical early round cup selection by Pep and in return he gets a typical shite struggling performance that usually relies on first teamers being drafted off the bench to pull us out of the shit. Practically given up with this manager. Can't believe Phillips actually gets on the bench depriving another youth team player of a chance. No one in that first eleven is capable of driving that team forward. We are lightweight.

Some of these players need the minutes. Can't exactly throw in 3 players coming back from long term injury in a premier league match, so this is the perfect opportunity. Always a balancing act in the early rounds of this competition between rotating players and not slipping on a potential banana skin

Excuses excuses and more excuses.

Not excusing anything. Just stating a fact about the necessity for using this game to give minutes to Cherki, Marmoosh and Ait Nori amongst others.

Careful some on here will still take that as a excuse, even thou you are right, remember facts get in way of slagging City and pep off

We had offers for Ortega and he refused to leave, wanting to sit out for 12 months and then leave on a free - which he's doing now.

Its all a bit strange. Imagine if we had a manager who lost 5 domestic games on the trot.

or one that can only play one way, doesnt use his assets to the best of their ability, produces boredom for 90% of a game and whose team stats have been getting worse for 2 seasons. Haaland is keeping our guy in a job. Scousers won it last season because we were utter shite for the most part

He obviously plays more than one way, the Arsenal game proved that as with the change from Ederson in goal.
The boredom for 90% is laughable when we've scored more than everyone this season.
The stats were only worse last season, the season before we got more points than the treble season and this season we're on for more points than last.

We've got the same goals as Tottenham in the PL but leaked more than double that of Arsenal. Course its still early days .
Our record last year was horrendous yet we scraped third.
We lead the prem on passes per game but we are scared to shoot or convert into goals. Anyone happy with our slow play is no problem to me but its bad to watch and not what i like to watch. Swansea scored an absolute world class goal last night, no problem with it but how much space did we give them to pass and shoot. We were nowhere near closing him down. Over the past few seasons our defence has been shaky and Pep despite having some good defenders can't organise them. his attitude towards switching players around is poor and fullback position is a joke. Both Left back and now right back have been a joke in the past

If we're talking boredom then talk Arsenal. Efffective- absolutely but basically Champions League version of Stoke.
I'd far rather the Pep way
