He'll definitely be off. Alonso doesn't fancy him at all - 2 starts in the league all season, 6 substitute appearances

Alonso is using him less and less. We need to be all over him.

Not sure he fits the profile i.e. I get the impression hes a bit of a sulk if he doesn't get his way.

A big no from me for either Rodrygo or Vini Jr. Simply too much baggage

Vini is a def no for me also, but Rodrygo is different. Can't remember him talking his mouth that much, and he was always classy when I saw him. He turned the game around in 2022.

A big improvement on Savinho.

Be interesting to know the story behind that - it seems he only actually had a trial spell at city rather than actually being a part of the youth setup. It took him another 18 months to get a semi-regular starter at Reading but playing regular in the Championship by 18 is no mean feat, so maybe this was really one that got away/not spotted - it would be a rare miss for the club not to tie someone down who is considered v talented.

Though I guess at the time we also had quite a few v promising attacking players around that age, Palmer etc so maybe the club thought they already had a pipeline in his position.

He had a full season with our academy.

Slightly tongue in cheek about letting him go, but we definitely need to be interested in getting him back.

"After leaving Chelsea’s academy at 14 after a “mutual decision” and training with City for a few weeks before spending six months without a club"

The exit from Chelsea sounds ominous, though maybe more about his dad than him as it seems he may have been being touted around after leaving Chelsea, or clubs were wary of something for him to have that big a gap withour a club when he had been considered the best player in his age group in the country since 9 years old (according to the article)

He was here for a full season -

Olise arrived at City aged 15 after being rejected by Chelsea, but he did not make the grade and spent just one season at the CFA, dropping down a level with his next move by joining Reading

Savinho's stats in his year at Girona are better than every single year Rodrygo has been at Madrid.
That's a teenage Savinho at a club who score loads less than RM.
He drives me mad sometimes but there's definitely a player there. Was very unlucky not to score last week with the double shot, played very well last half an hour on the left against Everton then again against Villereal.

Cool story bro.

21 goals contributions at Girona.

Rodrygo's last 3 seasons, 25, 26, 30.

Savio was also a sub 4 times during his season at Girona.

Rodrygo came off the bench 18, 8 and 16 times in those same three seasons.

Interesting, I didn't see you originally say "La Liga only stats" You did actually say his year at Girona. But while we're thumbing the scale, how about this one.

Savio 1 goal contribution every 333 minutes.

Rodrygo last three seasons, 1 every 323', 239', 265'.

Sorry, that's La Liga only as we're not being genuine now.

But aside from stats being fun, if you ACTUALLY need them to prove who is the better footballer between Savio and Rodrygo, then what the ever living fuck are you doing watching this sport? You clearly have as much grasp as my cat does seeing movement on the screen.
