Nunes had a blinder today, kept the leagues best player this season quiet. In fact the back four were superb.

Good performance all around against a very good team

Donnarumma should've done better, but the Bournemouth player held his arm. You just can't do that in the six yard box. Should definitely not have stood.

It was a clear foul , caught by VAR and ignored.

Had another look at this and i would agree the Bournemouth player hooked his arm around The keepers with the clear intention of impeding him , which it did for s moment. I t should have been chalked off.

What pisses me off is the commentators justify the wrong VAR. I think it was Robbie Earle on NBC today saying something along the lines of... he did grab Donarumas arm but let go early enough, that Donaruma should do better when players do that (foul him, off the ball, in his own box).

Bournemouth deserved to be 2nd, but they are dirty - even more dirty when the ref has selective vision.

Yes he messed things up a couple of times whe he first came on but then had a great run and laid it on for Marmoush. For me he isnt firing on all cylinders. If only he had the confidence of Doku

I hesitate to say he's shite. Coming in off the wing he does nothing of real value but on the two occasions he beat his man and got to the by-line we nearly scored. The first would have been fortunate but Reindeer should have buried the second one.

Love this from Pep - "They’re brave here. In the Etihad they [referees] are brave, so brave."

He's shite mate. My open mind is now shut on him. He came on against a team that play intense pressing and will be on the edge of knackered against us.

Nearly isn't really at it

I don't think he's shite, he's a year younger than Bobb and Cherki , he got a load of assists last season and he's played a fair few times for Brazil.
Should definitely have had another assist yesterday at the end as well.
Played great in the CL at Villereal and was very unlucky not to score at Villa last week.
Needs to improve on his decision making but at least he's happy to take players on which nobody else seems to on that right hand side.
He's the latest whipping boy - Mahrez had it for ages.

An excellent all round performance and game. Midfield very good particularly Gonzalez. Brilliant Assists from Cherki he has to start next week. Nico O is our first choice left back. And a mention for Nunes, a hugely improved player. The downside is savinhio he looks completely devoid of confidence, off the ball he looks like he has no belief in himself, but hopefully that will change as there is a player there.

There is a big argument for the same team to start next week.

Even if Rodri’s fit, I honestly think Nico should NOT be dropped — leave what’s working alone.

Nico G has been great this season. Seems we've got a tidy player there

Tried to force a move and ended up with an improved contract. Pisses me off the club did that

Why not both of them? NG could play further forward. Rodri, Nico G, Foden, Cherki, Doku and Haaland, a front 6 that could do some damage if they clicked.

I like the sound of Doku, Foden and Cherki all rotating around with Nico and Rodri behind them doing what we know Rodri can (or could) do and what it looks like Nico is very capable of doing as well. Doku spent a lot of time yesterday not on the left wing and instead in the centre. Sometimes I thought he got in the way a bit but if it was worked on it could be nice to watch.

I have given Nunes huge shit. He's been awful. Credit where credit is due, he is a hugely improved player.

He is fast and strong, no doubt, and appears to be using both attributes to good effect. I think he's been well coached.

You're not the only one. I did as well, along with many others.

I think we all expect far too much, far too soon.

Nunes rarely showed his potential playing in midfield no-one will disagree with that. Now Pep thinks he can turn him into a rb. Fair play to Nunes, he has accepted the challenge and last couple of games has done a great job. He is, and never will be, a rb though. The top teams will go through him and we won't get away with his shoulder barges in our area against the favoured teams. Looks like the rb spot is his until the summer so let's hope his good performances continue

We are getting a left inside winger who can play as a Rb.
Exciting times.

Calm down lads FFS! Nunes has had a few good games and we've rightly given him praise. He's had a terrible couple of season, and it was still only this season he gave away a stupid penalty leading to Brighton's comeback.

Let's see where we are at the end of the season, but the "how wrong was I" and "I'm so mad with myself I gave him stick" type comments are a bit much.

Lads doing well
