For a foreigner like myself, it seems odd. It's not like they have the Republic of Scouse and want their independence.

It is exactly that they believe they're a Republic and not English. They believe they've always had the shitty end of the stick from government and the monarchy. Dig far enough into it and you will end up at the US civil war and slave trade

Liverpool's transfer business goes above £300m. I don't see anyone one from the media up in arms about this.

Their 'net spend' was quoted in their figures on SSN last weekend!

And the BBC continue on their quest to keep the rags relevant,

Todays headline

"How 'desperately unlucky' Man Utd showed signs of progress"

Guess it can be classed as progress to only lose by one? Love these types of stories - you cannot polish a turd but the boys and girls over at Ordsall quays are giving it their best shots

BBC reporting on their sales nearly at £200m. Strugging to recall a headline like that about anybody else.

It did occur to me that they watched a different game to me.

Mbuomo and Cunha looked sharp. Well, whoopee

Some reports from Spain are saying Alvarez entourage believes he has made a mistake by signing for Atletico Madrid from Manchester City.
