I didn't watch it with my daughter but I do have one and she did see the game. She thought we were fortunate that Mbappe was not playing as he would have scored more than one due to the defence being overrun more than once. She said you can only beat what's in front of you but if it was an Ancelotti Madrid we would have been beaten.

But it wasn't and we weren't. All ifs and buts, we were due a bit of luck there. The ref was atrocious in the way he did not give those blatant yellows.

I suppose this is where VAR is a blessing as the ref is under scrutiny on vital decisions, if that was played 20 years ago. We would have lost.

I think it was a tremendous win, however, I think we were ripped wide open by Madrid.

I know games were all about what is at the end, but in the first half I felt that every attack they had was a chance. I am fairly sure if they would have scored one at the end (the crossbar, or Donna going below the ball at that corner) we would have gone on and lose the game.

We were cynical, I love that, but we need to understand that sooner or later, a decent team will rip us appart.

Yes he was poor. Fucked most decisions up and only lucky VAR could put him right on the penalty decisions. Not sending Valverde off was a shocking decision. We are still far too vulnerable to quick breaks though and I don't think PSG, for example, will be quite as forgiving.

Every game is different, I think pep got a his spot on tactically. That doesn't mean the players executed his plan perfectly, as you stated they had chances. But we decided to play very narrow and went through the middle mostly, even when there were options out wide.

Rudiger could have seen red twice in that game such were his blatant fouls.

If pep has anything to do with it he will demand that they play ‘simply’ —- can’t be having players doing things messi never did or does.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
