Big clubs like Barcelona, Bayern or Madrid find a way to move on. Barcelona won the treble with Enrique after Pep left, Bayern the same, Madrid dominated European Football after Zidane and so on.
If after all these years, our success as a club relies on Pep's mood and staying, then we are fucked.

And regarding Vinnie. I love him to bits, but until he wins something big with Bayern, not the farmers league, I think he is not ready yet. They are playing some great football, but he is lacking something.

Spot on. Any manager leaving a club there's obviously big change that happens.

Enrique is the one to get.

He might be the one we get but if this journalist is right with the Pep story he might also be right with Maresca being the replacement.
He wasn't particularly popular with Leicester fans and i hear loads of Chelsea fans slagging him off.
I reckon Vinnie would love to come here but not directly after Pep.

Apparently the journo that broke the story is the mouthpiece for Liverpool. It wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to knock us as we're back challenging.

It will be interesting to see what Pep says today.

Some fans will act like it’s the end of the fucking world when he fuck off , proper suicide-watch stuff, but the rest of us will just get on with it.
I support the club, not the manager. I was here when we were absolutely shit shite shit , and I’ll be here long after Peps gone. Managers come and go – they pocket tens of millions from us, wave goodbye, and fuck off to their next gig. I couldn’t give a shit what they do afterwards.
Look at Barcelona and Real Madrid: they change managers like babies change nappies and still keep winning trophies. We’re a world class club now; we’ll adapt, we’ll find the next one, and we’ll keep competing.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Cherki has been great as have the 2 full backs who aren't full backs who Pep's put there.
Haaland- figures are crazy. Foden playing out of his skin.
Nico G a master in midfield. This is some rebuild Pep

Does Pep make the signings now? we were told by some posters that Pep isn't in charge of signings...

Donna and Cherki are the difference makers this season.

Well done Viana. Made some difference!

And we were told by other posters that it's laughable to think any signings come in that Pep hadn't approved

I think we’re drifting back to that familiar road where we believe we’re better than we actually are. The brainfarts haven’t disappeared, we still look far too exposed under pressure, and a team like Barcelona will punish that ruthlessly.

If anything, the two assistants left more of a mark than Pep, especially after Lillo seemed half-asleep on the bench last season. We’re still wedded to the same tippy-tappy Plan A, with no real deviation. We've had more of a player form phase, rather than some tactical mastermind.

It feels uncomfortably like 2023/24 again: cruise control engaged, but with too many gaps, too many things still missing.

Barcelona didn't manage to punish Chelsea ruthlessly.
We've already beaten RM away which is an improvement on 23/24 and I'll gladly take the same PL outcome as 23/24

Everyone blamed Pep last season- just some thought he had earned a bit of credit in the bank which is proving quite right

He took the blame because it was his fault. I fuck up at work and I expect the blame.

He's getting the results now so perhaps he's feeling easier. I like the quicker pace of our football that he is trying to play . To some degree its working but we are still too adventurous at times at the back. I'd relax more if we just cleared it into touch sometimes. Cherki when he's having a good one is giving David Silva vibes . Teaming up with Nunes well against West Ham but i prefer Khusanov at the right side of defence
