What a win. Cherki and Reijnders both showing why we signed them and some rock solid defending at times too. Tough battle.

Anderson looks the business, tough, skillful and a bit of a prick, would be a great signing. Gibbs-White who I really wanted last season looks like he’d frustrate us if we got him. Gets in great positions but doesn’t have enough end product for me.
Tracking back is overrated.

Yeah, because we didn't have Cherki mate

We also didn't have Gonzales in midfield, who has been rock solid in the absence of Rodri.

Has been rock solid but today was limp and outfought.

I disagree, he had a good game today. involved in a lot of action.

First half ok second half he was flagging and he should have been quicker to intercept Forest breakaway for their goal but he wasnt the only one napping after reindeer lost possession. Player ratings from most media outlets agree rate him as average and faded as the match progressed

happy to get another 3 points obviously, but we’ve been riding our luck a lot lately. imo one of the biggest problems is bernardo. he fucking KILLS our attacking play so much that i often wonder if he’s doing it on purpose. offers sweet fuck all in the final third - less than even reijnders now - and he’s too slow to defend. it’s an absolute joke that he gets as many minutes as he does. i know he’s a fan favorite so ill probably get stick for this, but ill be glad when he finally moves on (like he’s been begging to do for years).

Thought this interesting :-

Since the start of November, only Erling Haaland (8 goals, 3 assists) and Bruno Fernandes (3 goals, 6 assists) have been involved in more Premier League goals than Rayan Cherki (1 goal, 7 assists). Meanwhile, Cherki has provided more assists than any other player across the big-five European leagues in that period (7).
City named an unchanged lineup for a sixth Premier League game this season. It's their most across a single campaign in the competition since 2008-09 (also 6), while they last had more in 2004-05 (9).

Offers control and calm, onfield leadership and babysits players who are struggling.

Add to that, Nico Gonzalez plays so many minutes people are worried he's being run into the ground.

Bernardo is playing just as much and he gets no love in this regard.

A team run by that cunt Dyche, his entire managerial career same format, break up play with knocks and nudges, shirt pulling, almost homosexual activity when defending corners. Then cries wolf when shit doesn’t go his way.

Then uses the same manuscript post match when his shit anti football tactics fail again..... ref this ref that.

He should be shot.

Here is a direct quote from Dyche.

"Regarding City's decisive goal, Dyche added: "They'll say, 'Yeah, the ball wasn't there'. And you go, 'OK, so if the ball's not near the keeper and you push the keeper to the floor, is that going to be a foul then?' "

No City player was near the goalie for the Corner. The Goalie was on his feet all the time until he dived, unobstructed to try to save the shot from Cherki.

I think he wasn't saying the goalie was pushed but using the goalie being pushed as a reason why the push by O'R on Gibbs should have been penalised. But the flaw in his argument is that Gibbs wasn't pushed, as was proven post match by Rooney on MOTD.

This is an interesting interview that underlines his hypocrisy:

So he doesn't want other managers talking about refs but he's allowed to do it because he sees the bigger picture. Fuck off twat, mediocre player, dismal manager. Sucks the life out of every game.

Wonder if they've asked for the VAR commentary from the possible penalty incidents, of the knee-high kick on Foden, the ref push, the waving of an imaginary card, or any of the other shithouse stuff Forest tried all game? Bet they haven't...
