I wouldn't rule out Villa out either - they are not in either cup competition.

Rags also in with a shout. No Europe or Carabao.

We're having an inconsistent season but rags have a chance.
They're as near to Crystal Palace as the top.

OK, think we need to settle down. They have lost a couple of wheel nuts.
A better position this morning than yesterday, our chances have improved but we are equally fallable.
Game on. Can we beat Newcastle, they are gettingvused to us , as we are them and they're on the back of a good win

So if City win all outstanding games, then PL champs again.

Again, they fail to get the three points and seem determined to not want to win the league. Newcastle next up, they had a great win last night but their trip back may take some of their edge off. We've had a week off and been together since yesterday's training lets crack on and look to ramp up the pressure. 2000 ko for a home game on a saturday is taking the piss though - no fucking need

Yes & a few years past I would have been reasonably confident of that happening. However, the fact we are in this position says more about the poor quality of the PL, we all know we have not demonstrated title winning consistency this season, so I am not getting overly confident just yet. Quietly confident is enough at this time.

Might it not be that there is so much money around that clubs with smaller crowds etc are able to buy better quality players than some decades ago, from all over the world . Thereby raising the quality of the opposition ?

I mean Brighton, Chavs even Wolves have some good players on their books.

Yeah, you could say that the gap has narrowed, but the quality of our football has lowered, not withstanding the appalling second half displays, the inability to create chances even against Salford kind of negates the gap narrowing theory.

I think it's this, too. Look at the way PL teams have performed in European competitions in the last few years. Hard to believe EVERY other league has got worse, so the conclusion is that teams in the PL have improved.

Does anybody think Madrid, Barca, Bayern & the Milan teams are as good as they used to be? Look at some of the results in the CL, Madrid in the playoffs.
Does anybody really think we are as good as the centurions season? Does anybody think we are playing good consistently? Some of our performances have been embarrassing yet apparently we are in a title race.

We're not as good as the Centurions season which is why we won't get 100 points or win it by 18 points.
We're definitely in a title race though- no apparently about it.
We had a majorly embarrassing performance that season as well- lost to Wigan in the FA Cup.

That's the last time we lost an FA cup game that wasn't at Wembley! Unbelievable run

We need to sort our shit out in the FA cup, that's three fucking no-shows that we've witnessed. Hoping that we can put a marker back down in the league cup again next month

Totally agree, last couple of final disgusting, lacking any sort of tactical vision from Pep & effort & talent from the players. The fans deserve better from Pep & the team, better to be out earlier & save the fans all the expense & Total disappointment than getting to Wembley & playing absolute garbage like Rags & Palace games. Pep even had the temerity to blame the officials for the Palace fuck up.
I don’t think Pep is approaching “genius” when it comes to Finals, let’s be honest even the CL final was borderline fuck up, if it wasn’t for that useless ex rag forward we could have been in the shit & I don’t want to even think about the Chelsea fuck up

Not just that, we win the quadruple if that happens

Same for the Arse too.

Lots of twists and turns to go yet, some massive games coming up

No way we're winning all our remaining games. But no way Arsenal are either. Just have to aim to win our game in hand and beat them in the league and cup games and then just match them each week.

If we get a bit of luck in the other 2 cups who knows but I don't fear anyone in Europe on our day. Were just so inconsistent so who knows which City will turn up
