Despite Leeds’ pressure in the second half, they didn’t create anything. We were solid defensively today. Leeds never looked close to scoring.

We’re not as good as we were in past seasons, but football generally is poor at the moment. Arsenal have the deepest and strongest squad, spent an absolute fortune, yet are still awful to watch. Someone still has to win the league. Now we just take game by game and see how things go. I didn’t expect us to be in a title race this season but we’ve gotten ourselves into one.

The only disappointment I have today was bringing Savinho on. We went down to 10 players once he was on. Pep’s obsession with him is baffling. I genuinely don’t know how he’s a professional footballer, never mind playing for us.

My heart sank when he came on, he did absolutely nothing in the 20 mins he was on. I just simply cannot fathom from the deepest depths of my soul why he ever gets to come on a pitch and play for Man City. He is absolute garbage and is every time he plays. Despite us being in four tournaments in March, this is a massive failing by Pep. Hey ho, 3 points from a very tricky tie.

great result. Now for another midweek battle with timewasters that need to have towels placed around the pitch side so they can dry a football and waste 20-30 seconds getting all lined up for a long throw. Ait takes five seconds in extra time and an immediate yellow.

Ref was awful today, missed so much as did the linesman. Little Bernie was great again.

Got to ask though WTAF were those Subs about ?,brings on a player to play central in Savio instead of Foden who has been shit his entire City carer and he didn't disappoint. Plus Ake over Khusanov. then Reinders over Nico, like every fucking Sub he made was wrong and it ensured we were hanging on a bit at the end..Was like playing with 9 Men ast the end.Fucks me off when he goes against what was needed.

Pep made some of the worst fucking subs imaginable today... it's honestly mind-boggling how bad they were!
Khusanov was unreal the last time he played—absolutely class—and yet baldy decides to drop him completely? Not even deemed good enough to come on as a sub? Unbelievable.
We were so, so lucky to nick the win today.

Just finished watching the game live !
It wasn't streamed by teletext here, but by Aldiss lamps between the mountain peaks.

I clearly saw Calvin-Lewin push Guehi to the floor, which allowed him to get a clear run on goal. I couldn't see if the ref missed in on the replay because it clouded over and the lights were blocked.

Anyway , the teletext when it came back on was italian this time, unfortunately i don't understand enough.
Wierdly it was also on TV .
So i suppose i could have watched it all in real time. Can you imagine how many lamps you would need if Chatgpt started streaming the games ?
Those long throw-ins though , needed discretely placed towels to dry the ball, they take so long. you could run a few adverts in between, rake more money in.

Seriously though, how did Leeds get away with so few yellow cards. This Ref was so poor, but couldn't wait to dish them out late on to City players.

The ball from Cherki to Aït Nouri for the goal was ridiculous. Absolutely quality!

Why is Dias playing? Why is Ake coming on before Khus? This shit will cost us.

The savio sub was a strange one but he was always going to come on today. I am not seeing what pep is seeing, as he was a passenger when he came on.

The Reijnders one was necessary for O'Rielly, I hope he is ok, as the tackle looked horrible on his lower calf.

Ake for me was sensible, add a good experienced head to see the game out.

If something dramatic doesn’t shift, if we don’t suddenly find that spark, that urgency, that jolt that turns us back into a team worth watching, and by some miracle we still end up winning the league, it would mask what has been our poorest stretch of football.

This was another match we had no real claim to. Not on balance of play, not on intensity, not on clarity. And that, more than the result itself, is the worrying part.
Usually by this time we start to look really good in the past, now it seems it is getting worse and worse to watch.

Why worry yourself ? Let's just throw the dice and see how they roll.

One game at a time, one game at a time.

You refer to a poorest stretch of football. How many games have City lost since Christmas ? (Two). Two months ago now ! Only two weeks with no midweek games.

Pep played weakened sides at bodø and the rags too.

Enjoy the ride rather that worrying about the future.

I watch City via a free mobile app and share to a smart TV . You get a choice of 3 feeds, 1 UK ( clarity is not as good) and 2 others usually chinese which are decent pictures and has added benefit of no shite commentary. Leeds had a player , Gruev that commited at least 4 bookable fouls.

Good summary. Just to add Outside and Within the ground, the vibe is chaotic. The officials get lost in the atmosphere imo. It’s a great win v a team that somehow get away with a level of physicality not seen for years. I will also say the noise levels from the crowd feed into a 2 hours of chaos, they get maximum out of the players. Brilliant away day and 3 points the squad is growing and for me long term we have a lot to be happy about.

Apparently experience is all that matters, not whether you're better or not.

The second chance DCL got was because Dias had wondered over to RB meaning Guèhi had to run to cover him.

Doesn't matter to me whether we are worth watching or not, as long as we are winning and currently 2 points behind the leaders. Teams have worked out how to stop the better teams these days. It ain't easy.

The past is a strange place. If you cast your mind back pre-Pep, pre-100 points etc, we used to drag along a little bit like this.

In the Pellegrini season we were what 7 points behind with 5 or 6 to play?? Yaya won those last games all by himself, helped by some serious incompetence from Dipper land.

But we didn't look even close to winning the league before that.

It's football.

What a challenge that was from Nunes where DCL was alone at the back and he sprinted and slid to make the challenge.

No player has made me change my opinion on them as much as he has!

Agreed. He still gives me the shits with his barging in the box. He will never be a right back though and we really need to bring in a quality replacement in the summer

I reckon he could easily be RB in the PL team of the season, he's better week after week. That block yesterday was superb, he came from nowhere. Rodders is getting back to how he was as well. MOTM for me but I thought all bar Marmoush were good. Great 3 points
