Ake will be no worse than Dias but Khus will have to have another outstanding game due to the fact we're light on defensive midfield legs. Haaland needs to move around and link up with Cherki and strive to get on the end of crosses. They'll be trying to win as many corners and free kicks as possible and are as predictable as we are. Hope we play with a bit of pace and grit from the off. Come on City.

Yes, I would have done the same, or played Ait-Nouri and moved O'Reilly into midfield. Semenyo, Doku and Cherki are going to have to put a bit of effort in when we are not in possession for it to work, I think.

I would also have been happier with Air on the left and O'Reilly in midfield. I guess Pep has a good reason for this selection, but I don't see it.

We've ridden the initial storm though, and the game starts to look more evenly matched now.
