I'm glad at least some people highlight the positives of his reign.
Imo Brown did a very good job and I personally would not have sacked him even if they go down. Time will tell whether this will somehow save Hull but I doubt it.
Hope they stay up and Bolton or Wigan go down. or both if I can pick.

Did a great job getting them into the Prem but waaaaaay out of his depth at this level.

Wonder if Hull will make an appointment to really try to stay up, or if they will do a Burnley who basically consigned themselves to relegation by appointing a manager of the calibre of Brian Laws

He got them up and he kept them up. That start to last season was incredible. He then lost the dressing room whilst they were sat on the pitch - but it had seemed that it was water under the bridge when Bullard did that Goal celebration. I was shocked by the timing of it but not ultimately surprised. I thought he'd go in the Summer.

3 to go down? Pompey, Burnley and Hull. Easy.

Who do the Hull board think they are? Brown got them in the prem and managed to keep them there for a second season. They are punching way above their weight. They will never be a permanent or succesful team in the prem, they have had their day and it doesn't matter who is in charge they will slide back into obscurity again very soon. The staff at Tan-tastic in Hull are the ones i feel sorry for, there will have to be redundancies there now.

Hmmm...not sure I agree with you there...Hull have many business attributes to sustain their premiership status...one of which is their fanbase...which is larger than a lot of so called premiership teams

Aw shit. I really don't like Hull. But having Horton in charge now will mean I look out for their results and hope they stay up.

Always loved Horton. When we went down the divisions and we would often have our Football League games on Granada, Sunday afternoon, Brian was very often the pundit. It was brilliant watching him support City, countering Everton Wellbiased's shitty remarks.

Weird decision that one. Laws was doing it tough at Wednesday (who really have no money and a largely half-hearted squad) but even the fans there wanted him out. They have no misgivings about their situation and still wanted to push him over the edge.

Really can't fathom why a nose-diving Burnley thought he'd be the man to rescue them then. If he can't do it in the Championship he's not going to do it in the Prem.

Hughes shouldn’t sell himself that short, Love him or hate him his sacking drew a large amount of media sympathy and the rights and wrongs of his sacking still hang over us so his stock really isn’t that low. His time with us would have raised his international profile somewhat as well.

What I don’t get about British managers like Hughes who is a decent manager (but maybe not the right one for us) who has been there done that in the lower/mid premiership level and will never get a chance at one of the top clubs again. Is why do they trawl round doing the same jobs when they could go abroad and try a new league and style of play. Test themselves out of there comfort zone. I’d much rather go coach at a top side in Germany or Holland than manage Blackburn or Hull.

Steve McClaren, for all his faults, was open-minded enough to go to Holland and try his hand at management over there. No nasty tabloids on his back, and a different culture to learn from and experience. As it stands his side (Twente) are 5 points clear at the top of the table.
