Great result by the Argentine Tom Jones with a 2-0 victory away at Barca too.

Every time I look at Alvarez, it winds me up again that we were allowed to let him go.
Before anyone says 'he wanted to leave' — Walker wanted to fucking leave, Bernardo wanted to fucking leave!!!, and Pep made sure they didn't. So that excuse is dead.
We replaced him with Marmoush on nearly 300k a week. Let that sink in

Me too.

Anyone who wants to debate Marmoush v Alvarez has to be a braindead troll, they are not even close.

Edit: Also, I'd play Semenyo, Doku or Foden as a number 9 before I'd want to see Marmoush on the pitch. I even think Savio can at least do a couple of things well and maybe even him.

Not sure about Savio, but with you both re Alvarez and always have been. Top player who we did not try hard enough keep or maybe we did and Julian didn't want to stay. Either way, we haven't found a replacement which is credit to how good Alvarez was.

Alvarez only has 8 league goals this season (2 are pens) from 29 games. Sorloth (10 league goals) is their top scorer and Griezemann is the worst of the 3 strikers with 6 goals.

Semenyo makes them all look rubbish this season. But I agree I would have any of those over Marmoush, he flatters to deceive.

A more accurate overview of Alvarez's contributions this season.

Alvarez: - 18 goals + 9 assists in - 45 appearances.
Sorloth -17 goals + 1 assist in - 45 appearances
Griezmann - 13 goals + 4 assists in - 45 appearances

Alvarez stands out for his all-round game: linking play, creating, high pressing, and dribbling—beyond just being a finisher, which makes him the most complete and valuable of the three when you factor in everything beyond one single stat.

He has scored 1 league goal in his last 19 appearances.
5 of his 8 league goals came in back to back games earlier in the season.

I hope after Madrids piss poor performance and VJR's petulant spoilt display doesn't signal a move for him to England or worse still to us.

No, we wouldn't - Bellers never played the victim 24/7 and he also could have an argument with himself................he's one of a kind and that's why we loved him.
VJR is just one of the most unlikable cunts who currently play football..........id hate him anywhere near our club.

Villa going well, if they go all the way to the final, I can't see them playing any first team players against us on the last game of the season
