***Bournemouth v Cup Winners Official Match Thread***

7.30 KO tonight so don’t get caught out

Nothing less than a win now or the Title is going to Arsenal. And this is as difficult a fixture as there is at the moment as Bournemouth are unbeaten in 16 games which is the longest current run in the PL. They also beat us 2-1 in the corresponding fixture last season, although we have won 16/17 games against them which is the best record of any side against another in PL history. So a tight game is probably on the cards

Whether the euphoria of the Cup win or the breaking news of Pep’s departure will affect us remains to be seen and of course the result last night didn’t go in favour either. And Bournemouth have European football to play for and remarkably can still snatch a CL from the dippers.

I don’t think we get a win tonight personally.

2-0

Thanks for that Notts.

I would have been caught out.

The Pep leak is likely to have an impact. The Bastard that did it knew it would.

Obviously we still have a Rotten Egg inside the Club. Holt seems to be adamant this leak has come from someone very close to Pep.

If true then it is concerning because they knew it might affect the team in these last 2 games. And they wanted Arsenal to win at our expense.

Some are saying it is one of Maresca circle, I don't believe that. They have known he was becoming City Manager since he turned down Juventus..Whywait until the team you are going to manage is on the verge of winning a Title, not having it.

This is some rotten bastard in the Club cynical action.

After watching Aresnal last night, I wouldnt totally rule out them drawing at Palace, they were terrible. Obsiously I am worried about the impact the Pep news will have on the squad.
We really did not want this news to be leaked now, awful timing.

I'm more worried about the impact of VAR decisions - they have just about decided the title already over these last few games. I know people have said we've had a couple that could have gone against us, but if they keep pushing the Arse over the line none of those will make any difference to the outcome of the title race...

Surely it's a lot better for the PL brand and Sky that it goes to the final day so if we're talking conspiracies it would be more likely to go in our favour.

I obviously hope we get the win that takes it to last day. Regarding Arsenal they would be the most brutal anti football team to win the PL. it’s ok to be good at set pieces & corners but if that’s all you have it doesn’t say a lot does it? I’m sure I saw on one of the Beeb feeds that they have 40 goals from set pieces/corners. Also the arm pulling/grappling that they have been allowed to get away with is disgraceful. The irony anywhere else on the pitch it would be a foul. The excuse is from a corner the ball isn’t in play, so if that’s the case you could kick a player & no foul? It’s all a load of bollocks.
Come on City give us a win tonight

This will certainly be a tough one. But we've been in tougher spots and very funny things can happen on the last day :D

I agree 100% - the problem is that it masks the conspiracy of shoving the Arse to the title by making sure they win theirs through this means - if we win tonight watch this space for a contentious decision against us against Villa......

First time this season, anything but a win means we lose the title. It's shit or bust.
Flying back from Domican Republic when the game is on, so my season will have ended or its a last day nail biter.
Hopefully we play better than we did against Chelsea and push them all the way

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola makes two changes from Saturday's FA Cup final win over Chelsea in - what could be - his penultimate change at the helm.
There is a surprise start for Mateo Kovacic, with the Croatian in a midfield three alongside captain Bernardo Silva and Rodri, while Gianluigi Donnarumma returns in goal.
Omar Marmoush and James Trafford drop to the bench, with Rayan Cherki also named as a substitute again.
Man City XI: Donnarumma, Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, O'Reilly, Kovacic, Rodri, Silva, Doku, Semenyo, Haaland.

Midfield can keep the ball but I fear may be too slow in getting it in the first place
