Great player but the club is always bigger than any one player. They all come and go.
We move on now, dont want this saga to drag on any longer, if your going, get your new best mate perez to stump up the cash.
Have to say I am disappointed in Rodri he's acting cunty now.
I suppose some people have short memories. Very short ones.

He's Spanish and from Madrid- it's hardly surprising.
Is he any more cunty than Bernardo who wanted to run his contract down to play for his boyhood club in Portugal and then fucked off to Madrid.

Actually it is. Because it is Madrid. And the Ballon D'or mockery.
That is the whole point, if you ask me. Join anyone outside England, no one will say anything, but joining Madrid after that.
Dunno, don't want to jump ahead, but it is saying stuff about him outside the pitch.

What is guaranteed is we could get around 50 to 60 million for him if we sell him now and seeing as we just bought his replacement for 116 million then it's a no brainer for me.
If it was my decision and MY MONEY, it's a no brainer to sell him now.

I agree it's not guaranteed we will win the league, but we will have a much better chance with him in the team than we will if we get rid. Depends on the PSR I suppose, do we need to sell him? If not then we can have one hell of a midfield for next season.

Disappointed in the quotes I am seeing, but if he produces the goods, then he can fuck off next year with my blessing

When he wasn't there last season, both Nicos managed comfortably. Spanish Nico is also growing into the role with english nico proving to be a deft left sided player.

Whilst Rodri played well in the world cup ,from the two games i saw, others were doing the running and tackling more than he did

He has one year left on his contract. No way someone would pay that sort of money when he’d be free in 12 months

I am sorry but its very different. He wants to go to the club who very publicly mocked and belittled him in a childish pathetic manner.
Did he get a bang on the head or something! It's astonishing.
If he wanted to go back to Athletico or even Barca, well fine. But to run to those pricks pants down is just embrassing for him as a person.

Rodri is to undergo back surgery. It is not known how long he will be unavailable.

It's a 15 minute in and our procedure - he will be fit for the season ( Apparently)

This as someone posted earlier in this thread. IF he wants to goto Madrid, more fool him. He won't be pulling up any trees for us if he stays as he will not want to put that move at risk. I thought better of him, we will soon see.

If he stays we'll win the league. If he goes who do we replace him with? I can't think of a midfielder of his calibre

I belive we're getting Bouadi with huge potential but he's for the future.

No matter if he stays or go we can't build our team around him or rely on him to contribute. He's 30 years old and has been a sick note for the last couple of seasons. Plus, he will leave on a free next season. I'd sell his m if we'd get decent money, but I doubt it that Real will fork up now. It's also a massive gamble for them, even if it's "only" 50–60 million quid. If they wait a year, they can see how for he will come back from his surgery and get him for free.

He was amazing in the world cup after being crap for us most of the season. He now want to go to the club that humiliated him a few season ago. Citys policy of letting players go who don't want to be here is very smart to keep the team cohesive. Now back surgery after already getting slower from knee surgery. Last year of contract, obvious time to cash in

Roll on the new season.

The worst final I've seen in my life.

Rodri wins another ballon d'or now? If Madrid doesn't show up again will he put in a transfer request here to go and beg them to sign him?

Assuming you must have been too young to watch the Italia 90 final then?

First final I watched was 82. 90 was bad but this one was worse for me.
