I have seen people calling him a servant for us and we owe him our very souls, not like he got paid and recently a fuck 2 years pay for doing nothing. Putting any emotional attachment onto players now is folly, even when we win things the club and players forget that fans live vicariously through them but they care more about getting the right Instagram content and inviting loser influencers to celebrate with them.

The game is disappearing up its own Khyber :)

As you say though difficult for the club to start looking at new contracts when he's out with an ACL. I don't get the 2 year unavailable bit, he played a lot last season- unfortunately after an injury like that you get a lot of niggles but he still played more league games last season than Stones in the last 2 and played in 2 Cup Finals and Stones got a heroes farewell.
I'd prefer him to stay the last year as he looked back to his best in the WC and everyone, club and country tend to win when he's playing but if he goes it needs to be soon to give us the chance to get the replacement. Kane went for 80 plus mill in the last year of his contract.

I agree that he played laat season but towards the end, he was coasting, clearly looking ar the WC. I don't blame him for that and he was not alone {Erling). My point waa / is that this ia not a spur of the moment decision and I thought better of him.
The only way he stays is if Farca don't stump up our asking price. Either way, I'm done with him and we can look forward to the next chapter of our evolutiion.

Joke today was clear we need him. The money is nothing. Is it true hes in Spain already and just came back to fuck off again??

Anderson needs someone decent next to him. Not looking forward to this season at all, but low expectations - might get some backward euro countries

To have Kovacic as our main midfield was laughable - Anderson was playing where exactly ? Ineffective whatever position he was playing in.

IMO - once again , having Dias in defence and Kovacic in midfield was our main downfall - the rest were just mannequin's.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

A midfield 3 of Anderson, Nico G and Cherki will be fine with Foden as backup and Nico OR another option. Get that young Moroccan lad in too and it's a decent and mobile midfield.

Why wasnt nico even brought on?

Why is dias captain? Why did he play?

Im fuming already and even more depressed than yesterday without football.

Yes its a meaningless bad omen game and I remember peps wank debut at home to Sunderland, but its more what today's decisions says:

Kova dias Lewis. Kus at rb.

Selling rodri. Buying an odios cunt who isnt a DM. Relying on an 18 year old moroccon.

Selling Rodri now is 100% the correct decision

And to get somewhere north of £65M when he has a year left on his contract is very decent business

Well played Viana. That’s one half of the job done. Now we need reinforcements so let’s hope there’s a bit of action soon

Actually shocked we have let him go without first finding a replacement.

Surprise, surprise another one going to Barcelona on their payment terms

I expect the 66 million will be paid at £100 a month direct debit over the next 500 years or similar.

I am sure they defaulted on the last payment for Tores last Season and the Club sold the debt on to a debt agency.

I don't wish him well either. Has left us right in the shit. Great player. **** of a Man.

How do you know we don't have a replacement. There is no way that we have thought that losing Rodders,Bernie and Rudolph and only bringing in Anderson is the answer. I would expect at least two more midfielders to come in .
I despise Farca, I would not do business with them BUT, having been bitten by them more than once, you have got to think that we would structure the deal to our advantage especially as they've just sold Torres to PSG so have cash on the hip.
Loved Rodders but he comes out of this looking like a sly cunt. Thanks for everything you helped us achieve, I will clap you in the warm-up on your return but you'll get pelters once we kick off.

Same.
Thank you for the memories, but I will not get sad for someone who didn't want to be here and let his entourage speak shite all summer long.

All the best to him, but I hope he regrets it.

I shall remember his contribution very fondly

Scored the winner in a CL final for us. Became the world’s best footballer in his position and won the Ballon D’Or with us. And in no small part was instrumental in winning all the trophies we did

We had him for 7 seasons and undoubtedly we saw the best of him. And at 30 with the PL being what it is and Barcelona offering him a 4 year contract, I don’t begrudge him wanting a new opportunity
