Wow, been a long time since I’ve been on here. Everyone all right?

Tried to come on sometime ago, but I think the forum or site was down for a bit?

Been impressed with us so far this season, an and I was not convinced that Arsenal were the runaway favourites because there’s too many potential reasons that we could compete.

Was not honestly a fan of the Enzo signing, but I get why, and his potential for being a shit Howze player that we might have needed outside of what we can get from some others with No Bernardo of course. And his experience and maybe he wasn’t really comfortable there because their club is run like shit funny to hear us called a bigger club than them these days give him what I recall not so long ago. But you hear this from players fan ficking tastix.

I think we’ve been underrated, but that’s good.

As for today? Outside of the performance, et cetera. Want to make some comment about Sky Sports reaction to Haaland’s goal that was originally called offside.

Did anyone else notice it?

Regardless fantastic feedback on here. Hope everyone’s doing well. Been an incredible journey with Pat. Wish I had been on here a bit more the last few seasons. Yes, I post on BM. But y’all are the original home for me always. And, I’ve always appreciated everything up in here.

Great to see you back!!! We are looking good apart from the defense with Dias as he just cannot consistently perform - that own gola he nearly scored would have taken me into meltdown mode.

3 points ahead of Arsenal and goals scored back up.

If I was a neutral, I’d have enjoyed that, but somebody please tell me why, when we don’t have pure control, Gvardiol is playing as a second, or even third, centre forward?

Diaz is well aware of his own lack of pace so he alters the shape of his positioning and body, Guehi has to also then compensate, Anderson is overly aware of the dangers of Diaz’s pace and turning and so the rear centre of the team is on the back foot. It’s not optimised for how the rest of the team are set up to play. It basically results in a slow down and denial of Haalands preferred service.

Shittest thing about it is he’s club captain. Basically undroppable.

If was had Kushanov back there the whole team shape can change plus we get his pinging it ability.

I hear you on Dias. He did save our arse in that imitation John Stones last ditch goal stopping effor and he may be better served as a partner with Hussein who can cover for his pace deficiencies.

However, his experience and leadership is clearly valuabl to have.

We are blessed with incredible depth at centre back and have players that I can see him being dropped, particularly against certain opposition, or if we see any consistent issues that have come up remain enough to lead to this.

Reis aka Stonesy 2.0 & Khusa clearly look like potential stars, and Gvardiol back to centre half is a better fit for him defensively because of his issues against players who can dribble with pace.

Something tells me when that O’Reilly is 100% fit / back to speed, that may happen and Maresca may rotate him with Gvardiol there and with Dias as the is the partner for Gehei.


But in general, I think the idea that there’s an automatic first team for some players may not always be the case because of who we’re playing Fitness levels and injuries and matchups.

This is also why we have players who can ideally play more than one position for the most part.

Effectively sometimes in my view it depends and players will get games. But there are some young players now we see that could be playing so we’ll see what happens.

Yeah it’s not anything I’m in love with. I found you all through a mate of mine from Manchester who pointed me towards this forum a little before I joined, I think.

I don’t post on there that much. But I had Ben because I think I honestly thought this was either dead or not working. I’m glad it’s back and I know that now.

There were some other reasons because I just wasn’t posting and didn’t have as much time for that.

Trust me, I have been closely following what’s been going on the entire time with the club And have surprise surprise JK… Many things to say still about some of the propaganda and nonsense that we have to endure and hypocrisy that is a bound in the media, amongst rival fans, etc.

100% fairs. It was concerning that that happened nearly every time we scored.

There were some other good signs, but it is gonna be something we’re gonna have to take a look at as other clubs will be.

Before the game I thought well, Sunderland don’t concede many, but they score even less therefore I thought maybe 1-0 or 2-0 but 5-3 shows what you think you know.

Absolutely HDS. And you can only beat what’s in front of you as well. And the negatives from today can easily be worked on, especially once Bouaddi is up to speed

Great to get 3 points but we were all over the place at the back and lacked strong presence in midfield. Brobbey absolutely battered us. Dias, Nunes, Guehi, all flakey.
Cherki getting decent plaidits but i thought he wasn't clinical enough and a slight breeze blows him over.
ORiley should have come on in his place 10/15 mins earlier.

Fair play to Sunderland they didn't sur back and actually played us. Dias is a liability and eill c9st us big time if Enzo doesnt change things. Think he made Guei a tad shaky too.

Either way three more points in the bag and hopefully some lessons learnt.

I don't think that Sunderland , although they have some very strong ,big fellas in their squad would have got three goals if Dias was on the bench. His time is up.
