I always hoped that they saw through the bullshit of the FFP which is a farce in itself, only protecting the most profitable whilst stopping true benefactors coming in to disrupt the status quo. I understand why we spent to try to get through the gate before it closed. I do care about the judgement but I care more about supporting my team for over 40 years, good and bad, mostly bad! Don't let anyone tell you that we've spent more to buy success when its been proven year on year or season to season that others have spent money when we haven't. I'm going to wait till the final verdict comes out but I can tell you now, the football doesn't change, spend all you want and you can get a shit team, Chelsea did the same, twice. Hopefully, other ambitious clubs (Villa, Newcastle, etc) will wake up to what the real purpose of FFP, in all its guises, is and vote to get rid of it. As a business, football needs outside investment so, as long as clubs are not loaded with spending debt, owners should be allowed to use their OWN money to progress their businesses.

Exactly. A lot of what people are saying online are well into criminal levels of fraud. And if they were true you wouldn't only be seeing a sports arbitration panel looking into it. Stinks of what most City fans probably expected but hoped against, that the "independent commission" was a complete farce - a way for the old top 5 to do against City what they couldn't do on the pitch - win.

The other option going on here is that some other PL clubs are leaking the verdict early to the media and playing it up to be way worse than it is with the hopes of turning public opinion so much against City that it forces the punishments to be much harsher than they should.

So, you buy an independent clothes shop on the High street, there are many other shops selling clothes. Some are small independents like you but theres some bigger names, Next etc. The shops have to abide by rules set by these BID set ups, all the shops sit on the board but the big players aren't bothered by the smaller independents as they cannot be competative or a threat

You've won the lottery snd decide to spend and invest big on your shop to try compete with the bigger outlets. The Big boys don't like this so they put pressure on the board and other outlets to change the trading rules and place restrictions on investment to ensure don't become a threat to them. You have to find some ways around this with a good accountant, you do some clever accounting and start competing with them.

Another independent opens up and they are wanting to invest the same, so they change the rules again to try ensure he cannot do what you have. They then decide to go after you to aet an example. Meanwhile Next as been bought by some greedy American investment firm and stop investing and just take out any profit to line their own dirty pockets, their roofs fucking leaking and they need to sue you to get that sorted. They do everything in their power to make you look the evil bad boy thats ruining the High Street. You just go about your business investing and trying to compete meanwhile some cunts just forged some emails to make out that you've broken the law.
