People. Everyone who is not a Blue.

Since the 114 leak, everywhere I go, people are forcing me to listen to their opinion, their 'take', they've read a newspaper article or head a podcast and think they have become some sort of expert.

If they are friends who are willing to actually talk about it -

I've found the best point I can bring the conversation around to that everyone eventually agrees on is that FFP is a corrupt mess. Asking how is it fair that Villa & Newcastle had to sell all their best players right after they qualify for Europe, but spuds can spend 400 mil after finishing 17th 2 seasons in a row. And asking how is any other team ever going to compete with the top 4 if their ability to spend is tied to past revenue - but the only way to grow your revenue is to spend big on top level players to win trophies. A real pull yourself up by your bootstraps situation. And pretty much the only place in the capitalist world where business owners can take as much money out of their business as they want, but are punished for investing money into it.

Usually after going through that for a few minutes they are left with a "yeah it doesn't make sense and needs to be changed - but City still shouldn't have cheated". And in my view, the best response here is why would the PL allow City to be bought by their current owners and take on our current sponsors if they are going to throw a fit about funds being intermingled a decade later? How could they not anticipate this happening when they signed off on it? How stupid must the PL be to have signed off on everything originally, yet now gin everything up so much that many people are calling for over half of the PL titles from the last decade to be invalidated? And why did it take them 2 seasons to come to a conclusion after they finished a trial? Can they not see how this much damages the league?

And then we are left with "yeah the rules are corrupt and the PL is incompetent, but City still shouldn't have done that". Which I respond with "well lets see if City broke any corrupt rules under and incompetent regulator after the appeals are over"

Same conversation about 4-5 times now and always seems to bring the initial hysteria down

I stop it as :

The point is the committee says on probability (and accusing our bank statements as doctored and witnesses as liars) that sponsor funding came from sheikh (but he didnt know)

City state it came from sponsors and they had funding from AD sovereign fund (govt) and have lots of evidence.

Thats the summary? Former is against ffp, latter isnt.

But the real point is that ffp is anti competitive and we should be allowed to invest. But yes im bored of having the arguement daily.

Some mune mate of a mate was saying hes fine with bkues saying they cant take the memories but takes issue with us saying we sre innocent

I said we are.

The guilty is an opinion/ balance of probability by a biased party that ignored are evidence and said it was fraud/ made up.

Thats not a court.

Since the 114 leak, everywhere I go, people are forcing me to listen to their opinion, their 'take', they've read a newspaper article or head a podcast and think they have become some sort of expert.

It happens at work, weddings, in the pub, in Aldi, in the Drs waiting room, the barbers, the dentists chair (throughout an entire root canal yesterday, and I can't talk back).

I swear, it's like living in an eternal zombie movie and Groundhog Day rolled into one. 114 Charges Later, directed by Daniel Boyle, a fucking boring movie.

Intelligent, humble people have suddenly become know it alls, and seers, predicting exactly what will happen, using their extensive legal training and accountancy acumen.n

Even in my dreams, dead people are giving me their opinion on how City paid more than stated for Haaland.

The vet was telling me how money on Abu Dabi moves differently to how it moves in Europe while surgically removing my half of my son's Lego Millennium Falcon from my dogs anus.

Everyone, and I do mean everyone assumes I'm interested in their opinion.

Every time I put the car radio on, or watch the news, it's charges this financial that, fair play the other.

I swear, I will watch Reservoir Dogs on DVD tonight and Mr Pink will be talking about Etihad sponsoring City, I'll put The History Channel on and The Rise of Hitler will be replaced with 114 Charges.

Did you know that Craig Bellamy is responsible for Nine Eleven?!

Did you know that Carlos Tevez persuaded Putin to invade Ukraine?

It's us who are being punished. Not by the cartel, but by the opinionated mob.

Two words for them all.

Shut (the fuck) up.

Brilliant post and it is exactly how I have been feeling for the last two weeks I feel like I just cant get away from it and everyone is insistent on ramming their opinion down your throat I just dont bother arguing with them as they will not listen to my point of view as far as they are concerned we have cheated and thats it . so Fuck the lot of em .

Yep, does your fucking head in. As I type this I'm listening to The City Social podcast. Refreshing to hear some sensible voices. Why is it that it's only City fans that can have a measured and reasonable conversation about this shit. To be reminded of the reality that these break away leagues have always existed and started with the Cartel League and Chumps League. These exclusive competitions were set up to massively elevate certain teams. The Moores family could spend what they wanted on players, Walker at Blackburn, etc, etc. I fucking know all this but the noise around it all can make it difficult to keep focused! It's like you said, nearly all reality is being twisted to blame us for everything.

I'm definitely coming back to my true self and a fuck you attitude to it all. We spent the fucking same, less in some cases, as you, and you fucking lost on the pitch. Just because you want to hide behind some anti-competitive bullshit and be allowed to spend more than us to beat us doesn't create a fair competition you fucking bellend! If the 17 other teams in the Cartel league had any fucking balls we would all breakaway and leave these 3 fucking twats in a league of their fucking own. How much better would that be than this shit?

This all day. What the media cannot seem to grasp is that by going after Burnham (& I am no fan of him), they will strengthen our case by making it political. Dragging UAE into it will only see them calling in favours. They have not only backed City and Manchester, there are £billiion contracts for the UK.

If the latest news is true in that we were offered a financial penalty to settle from the premier and we refused..........then we have nothing to worry about.

Agreed. Thats why went after us so badly with the ruling. They still want us to settle. I think the premier league knows it can’t win the long came and hope we will cave in under the pressure

Carl, I would agree on the assumption but don't you think this leak is utter gossip BS?
Struggle to imagine PL would leak something posive for us, nor the Club which have always been true to the discretionary clause.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City
