There was a time SC when the docks in Salford were so full of crap that it was possible to skip over the docks and not get your shoes and socks wet.

Red nose Fergie and Dennis Tueart challenged each other to cross a canal full of crap.

Fergie tiptoed across the canal with dry socks . The Press reported "Fergie walks on water ! "
