I really hope the City Admin take the BBC to task about such reporting.

I'm absolutely disgusted with the BBC. I know there's been a lot of people in the last few years criticising them, but I've always defended them. Ok, I know they've always sucked up to the Munes, but I always regarded that as an amusing quirk.

No more, their "reporting" on this has been blatantly biased, one sided, speculative and misleading.

In fact it's been as bad or worse than the crap on social media posted by the usual haters.

Fuck them, I for one hope City sue them..

Couldn't agree more with both.
Been disappointed with BBC Sport for years, and mcnulty a fkg mutant in Carl's words. Now he's turned into a fucking disgusting idiot, so overwhelmed by his bile who cannot even care of his own professional reputation.

From my continental pov it's inconceivable that a public broadcaster be allowed to throw baseless shite to the PM. In Italy, France and probably in Germany too, the CEO would have been taken to the sword in few days. Know UK is different, always nurtured free speech to the extreme, but still...

Yesterday, Keane was more of a blue than Micah in every single way. I am quite terrified I wrote that, but it was the truth.
He dismantled Micah studipidity every time he mentioned it was soft or they played with just ten men.

All he has to do is ask them have they ever spoken to our chairman. Chuckle is personal friends with the PM is he saying his mate the Prime minister has questions to answer!!

Easy Micah reach out and speak to the club !!! Not be a fool!!!

Micah works for sky. He can’t go to far away from their agenda. Look at the reporter who approached Soriano. That’s Skys,, Bbc’s , talksport , all the tabloids agenda. I’ve thought the MEN haven’t been neutral either

From a Newcastle supporters site.

Man City are charged with putting too much money into their club, attracting some of the best players in the world and helping turn the Premier League into the biggest and most entertaining league in the world.
Think about how ridiculous that sounds.
A club investing heavily, improving its squad, competing at the highest level and making the league more attractive to broadcasters and fans is now something that needs to be punished.
But where was the Premier League when Mike Ashley spent years asset-stripping Newcastle United?
Where was the outrage when Newcastle were being dismantled, investment was being cut and the club was gradually reduced to an empty shell?
Where was the Premier League declaring Ashley an unsuitable owner or stepping in to protect the club and its supporters?
Nowhere.
Newcastle suffered for years and nobody seemed to care because we weren’t challenging the established order.
That’s why I struggle with the argument that this is purely about protecting the integrity of football.
If the system was genuinely about protecting clubs, supporters and competitive fairness, Newcastle’s treatment under Ashley should have mattered just as much.
Instead, it feels like the biggest problem only becomes a problem when the established clubs are threatened.
City challenged the status quo. Newcastle are now trying to do the same.
And when the same few clubs have dominated English football for decades, it’s fair to ask whether the real issue is financial rules—or who benefits from them.
Football should be about competition, not protecting the positions of the clubs who have already made it to the top.

I think a lot of investors & owners are getting turned off from the PL. Why invest money in a league where the top clubs can retroactively decide that your investments are invalid, the equity you built up should now be wiped, and your reputation tarnished.

Wouldn't be surprised if this isn't a large reason why Everton's new owners are looking to step away so soon. They look at what is happening with us now, and realize in the current setup there is no way to grow Everton beyond the current level. So cash in and reinvest elsewhere.

In a league not dominated by a cartel I would say this is a good thing. But given the reality that the only way to break up the top teams is to match their spending, it's quite different. Overall I can just see it leading to a decline in the popularity and competitiveness of the PL vs other leagues worldwide.

Look at Leicester. Their owner was brilliant for the game, built that new training facility, all going well. Now they're in League 2 and he's desperate to sell. No new owners will be attracted to buying a Prwmier League team.

So refreshing to hear some of the "neutrals" start to see the light.
What is more puzzling is why the Newcastle or Villa's owners haven't reached out with City to fight the righteous and interested fight altogether, time ago.
Good reading, thought. Thanks for posting, Patrick.

I think at this stage sheep have already fled the pen.
Either way the league will somehow be harmed, whether investors will get convinced to cash out or not purchase in first place, or even worse if City should be sanctioned heavily (not gonna happen) forced to sell part of the players who make the league so attractive for broadcaster or on the worst case scenario, relegated and its officers disqualified, in which case it would be highly probable the Owner would say fuck off everyone we are gonna reach out the G14 minus red cabal and set the European Super(NFL)League.

Read that last week when it was posted on our OSC WhatsApp group. An excellent take on the financial rules, albeit from a Newcastle previous bad owner point of view.

Enough now. I am tempted to put something in writing to this and also send it to the club. This is a fucking step too far. This, following on from the bus picture is pure incitement.

Is there a PR complaints department for this shite? Or what is the relevant department to send this to? Thanks. It's a shame daft Donald isn't still with us, this would be right up his street and the complaint would be delivered in person to that horrible c@nt.

Quite possibly one of the worst, most illogical and simply inaccurate and unprovable articles the BBC have ever written

And that really is saying something as there’s a lot of competition for that
