Return of Adebayor

Postby Green & Blue » Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:57 pm

Looking forward to him returning especially after santas recent performances.

I think he could be very influential in our push for fourth, hes 9 in 18 so far and i think he will add a few more before the seasons over.

He may have his days when your wondering what hes up to, but man knows how to score and i hope he comes back firing on all cylinders.

Ade will come back at Eastands ... and me too! Don't worry, mates, as Chinese people once upon a time told ... we'll catch the Bull at Four, no matter how but Ade shall be the crucial man for me!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

dont understand the problem with RSC hasnt been given a fair crack of the whip and people dying to get on his back.

Adebayor has done little to impress me, he hd a great start and hasnt been the answer since the arsenal game, he needs to earn his conr between now and the end of the season
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with the second part. Never known a player get such an easy ride having done so little. The fact that he has missed nearly a quarter of the season due to his own temper and petulance seems to be lost on most people.

Adebayor is not the answer in our push for 4th.

I think we should use him as bait in the summer for Torres or Villa or some proper striker who cares.

As much as people get on Ades back with him at home we haven't lost a game and that stands out for me. He was our most lethal player at the start of the season most people seem to forget this and was on for most goals this season until that 4 game ban. We can only hope he finds that form again now when we need it most. out of him and RSC I would choose him any day because he's proved to us he can do not only do it for City but his injury record isn't poor. I just think Tevez has been taking the shine from him lately and scoring the goals. He will be back to form soon enough where as RSC has never been to form in a City Shirt (not yet anyways *fingers crossed*)

I supoppose i can understand peoples frustration at the amount of games hes been unavailable for but i think hes been good when he has been available.
I know for sure i would prefer him being in our side than having him play against us.
On his day defenders find him unplayable.

Ade especially (and others) will be the key to the fourth place, if we get the results better than Spuds in the games against Arse/Stretford Buccs and beat them at home we will be fourth. He will relish these games and his ratio if maintained will serve us well.

A fresh (only 18 games and some intls), well rested £25million striker who is the manager's preferred choice coming in for the last few, hmmm a manager's dream. Probably for the first time this season all first choice striking options open (RSC looking fitter with each game), don't think goals will be a problem creating them from centre midfield maybe. My shout is Vieria to play from start, didn't think I'd be saying that three weeks ago.

Adebayor is defo going to be important as Tevez and Bellers are looking tired and although Ade can be lazy, he can hold the ball up pretty well and is suprisingly fast.
I reckon he'll get 5 or 6 in these 8 games including a brace at the Emirates when he'll play like a man posessed and no doubt whine about "its wengers fault i left"

STOP WHINING AND SCORE A HATFUL.

What dont you understand?
Just compare both of their performances. One is alot better than the other! Alot better

OK maybe Ade hasnt been as good as we'd hoped, but he's been alot more effective when playing than Santa.

So little? 9 in 18 doesn't impress? Compare that with RSC

It's the 18 I'm critical of.

Compared to Santa Cruz 3 in 15 (prem appearances)?? I don't think we will have a prob with Ade missing as much next year but RSC will still have his terrible injury record and people can bang on about him not being able to get good because he just got back from injury but lets face it, he is always gonna be coming back from injury with his injury proneness. He is never gonna get back to this so called mystery fitness people keep banging on about whereas Ade will get back to his full game.. I cant see how you can be critical of Ades 18 and stick up for RSC and his 15 games especially when he only scored 3 in them.

Read my comments. I haven't mentioned RSC once, never mind stuck up for him and the thread isn't an RSC v Ade comparrison thread. The mention of RSC was a side note by the OP.

I'm simply pointing out that I'm not as sweet on Ade as many people seem to be, mainly down to his propensity for being a lazy bastard and the fact that his selfishness has seen him miss crucial games when we needed him.
