Because England had a glorious penalty shoot out history before him, right?

He certainly knows how to pick 'em. With Brazil and Portugal in the group I wouldn't expect them to get past the first stages and then he'll probably be riding off into the sunset with some World Cup dolly bird and half of the net worth of the Ivory Coast shoved into his overnight bag. Nice work if you can get it.

Hope the Ivory Coast fans weren't hoping for any entertaining football this summer.

Fair play to Sven, he always comes up roses and with more dosh. Will be worth watching them to see how they do in a difficult group.

On a reported 5m for his troubles. Equates to 1m per game as they won't get passed the group stages if things go to form. If he fell in a barrel of shit he'd come out smelling of roses that one.

I think it's a good fit. The second best African team needing a bit of organisation. It could work.

Welcome back on track to one of the finest football brain ever. And the biggest gentleman ever touched a football pitch.

A further good reason to look even more friendly to the African football.

Good luck, Sven... :-)

3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Glad to see him back in charge of a team - it's a difficult group though.

Sven is back in business. He with some financial corporation are about to buy a new club, in Romania.

If they will do that, Sven will be the new chairman of the club.
