So pleased we came away with a 3-0 scoreline in the end. It was a hard game and we didn't help ourselves in the first half with such a lackluster display, seems Mancini gave them the riot act and the first 3 minutes of the second half set the tone for the rest of the game.

Dissapointed with Wigan though, i can understand teams coming here and getting 11 men behind the ball and hoping for a draw but the way they slowed the tempo down, wasted time was so frustrating.

If we are not to get 4th this season then the lack of quality central midfielders will be the reason why, it was hard to watch at times the way Wigan played around Vieria and De Jong with ease. I'm worried for Burnley on Saturday as that is a huge banana skin and we still have that typical city tag, they have won once since 31st October and i can just see them getting a win against us to kick start their push to stay up, typical city fan i suppose, any other club would be looking at Burnley away as their next fixture as a guaranteed 3 points.

So they should have played at a tempo that would suit City ?

Get real! It's up to us to impose our tempo on the opposition. When Bellamy came on we started to do that.

Get real? So are you happy to watch a game where after 10 mins the opposition are kicking balls away and continuously putting the ball down in the wrong spot of where a free kick or goal kick is taken?

I counted in the first half how long it took Wigan to take a standard throw in - 35 seconds it took. No wonder there were 7 minutes of added on time in the whole of the game without any major injuries.

Everton slowed it down and wasted time and it paid off. Nice try Wigan.

I noticed that both the last two refs have let the opposing teams time waste. There should be a clear message sent before kick off that any attempt to time waste will lead to a booking whether it be in the first or second half. Attwell pointed to his watch on a number of occasions and then just added 2 mins at the end of the first half.

If he had laid down the lawe at the start and then started booking players it would have stopped straight away

This - but with Vieira that´s never gonna happen - if we´re gonna play him, play him as out and out holding basically standing in front of back four
