West Ham Away .......lets nail that coffin

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I think that, if we need three points to stay up on the last day, we will bottle it.

These are our last 6 fixtures and my charitable predictions, having sat and watched three straight defeats in less than a week recently

Everton (a) - Defeat
Sunderland (h) - Draw
Liverpool (a) - Defeat
Wigan (h) - Draw/Win
Fulham (a) - Win/Draw (because knowing us, that's what'll happen)
City (h) - Defeat.

We can't possibly stay up on 32 points, but, if there's still something in it on the last day, the atmosphere will be a cracker. Are the away seats on sale yet?

If it means anything, I'd want you lot to be Champs League next season unless our own survival depended on it.

You've not had much joy with Owners / Chairmen, have you? The Icelandics sanctioned spending that the Club couldn't afford and Terry Brown oversaw the departure of brilliant young talent to rival Clubs. I'm too young to know what's happened before that.

I personally backed the takeover by Gold & Sullivan because they're Football Men and stabilised Birmingham City. They were also fairly patient with Managers. I know Steve Bruce was given backing despite taking Birmingham up and down. It's only the Carson Yeung takeover that unsettled him.

To be honest, I don't really like the idea that started this thread. I don't take pleasure out of relegating anyone that's not a rival / a Club we have history with.

I'm not bothered about the banter of it. None of you will mind me on here, when we stay up on the last day, leaving you in 5th, will you?

As for The Daves, I am sorry, but the preview doesn't match the main feature. They are doing what they can to undermine the incumbent manager, because they won't dismiss and compensate him for it.

And, he's both too nice and too inexperienced to deal with it in a way that motivates the players. They are playing like zombies at the moment and The Daves have played their part in it

You're not getting it Walmai, we'll have secured 4th position before we go down to blow some bubbles with you guys. Rather , Spurs will have blown their chance too.

Well, I think Spuds will fade, but, on the other hand, can see Liverpool going on a run too.

Villa have lost their way, in truth.

I sincerely hope you're down for the party having secured it. That way, Tevez can take a well-earned rest on the sidelines. The lad's on fire this season. Surely even the most optimistic of you didn't see him scoring so many this term?

Adebayor on a good day will however lay us utterly to waste.

No history Jim?

I remember being sat in the Gene kelly Stand MarkII when Stevie Lomas scored a pearler to shaft us outta the FA Cup amongst a few other games against The Irons when we thought that our name was on the cup. We ave plenty o history against those lads as well as many other teams. Don't dismiss em, they usually come back to bite yer on the arse when you do that mate.

It would be nice if we have 4th top and 4th bottom sown up before the game, but ifnit I'll settle for one of those italian specials when we both just need a point. Let's see motd find a highlight in that game!

Like many City fans, I have no wish to see the hammers relegated and there are Bolton, Hull and a few others I would be happy to see with miserable faces.
Sadly Walmai mate...if it comes down to it on the day...City have to do the job.

Hope you secure youre place before the end mate.

I don't want WHU to go down. I hope it doesn't come to a scenario where we must win to go into CL, but if we win WHU goes down, because then I'd of course want City to win, but I'd be sad for WHU.

Let's hope at least one of us can seal their target before then.

Technically, we have history with every Club we've ever played against. But no bad blood or long-term grudge with The Hammers. That's what I meant.

The title of this topic is huge disappointment. Surely it should be "Let's Hammer the final nail on their coffin" or something like that. Great opportunity for really bad pun missed.

Continue.

Positives for West Ham if they get relegated:

-Sheffield United Home & Away
-Neil Warnock gets to visit Upton Park with QPR
-The Championship is a very competitive League

I really don't want to relegate West Ham - but if it goes down to the final day for 4th then I hope we leather them.

Why is Sheffield United home and away a positive for West Ham supporters? Never mind having to see that twat Warnock twice a year!

Championship is good league to follow though. Compatitive football and never say die attitude all around.

I think both issues will be decided by then so we can all sing along, shake hands and swap scarves a-la Crystal Palace several years ago*

You kidding me? Sheffield United hold a major grudge against West Ham for staying up at their expense. i.e. Not being docked points for fielding Tevez against registration rules.

There's a bad feeling between both Clubs and it'll make for exciting Matches.

Sheffield United might hold, a completely unreasonable, grudge against West Ham but what does West Ham have got to wait for in meeting Blades?

We go down and Millwall come up.

Fine by me. I'd actually have more aways if we were in the fizzy any way.
I can live with it, if it means breaking up our present squad and starting again.

Anyways, whilst calm, I propose a pact.

Feel free to take the rise if we're relegated, if you're happy for the inevitable banter if we stop you getting 4th.
(This will happen especially if we're down when you visit, but still put on a show. It wound up Taggart something proper when Blackburn won the league because of a victory in those circumstances).

I can see me getting banned on here, in the week after the season's end.

It's an away trip I never really enjoy, and don't often bother with these days. Remember being chased all over the shop down there, when I was fifteen and eight stone wringing wet. Fuck 'em, they can go down for all I care. As you can see, I don't hold a grudge for long.
