Goodness gracious, I'm still not entirely happy with this defensive/attacking midfield mullarky, but "defending attackers"? Whatever next?

i knew someone was gonna pick that little one up..

was too lazy to write .. an attacker that gets at the oppos midfield from behind them when they get the ball. It is massively effective as the oppos mids have to get rid of the ball before they get robbed and so put a lot more dodgy passes out.
Barca did it very effectively against Arsenal. It is what Tevez does naturally, Bellers does to large extent, AJ seems to have copied and Ade is getting the hang of. By contrast it something say Bentner never does and it seriously weakens the team he plays for against good opposition.

if we get another striker it has to be this type of player or one that knows they will have to learn this.
