With Petrov leaving, SWP's form being inconsistant & Bellamy's knee problems, chances are we'll be signing a wide man so Weiss will have plenty of competition.
I don't think Mancini especially wants a left footed player on the left (or right footed player on the right) either so Weiss may get asked to play left side initially if he gets a chance, with Johnson continuing on the right. A lot will depend on how Weiss shows in pre season training I recon. If he impresses enough he'll get in the squad, if not, he may be returned to Bolton.

I know Mancini likes doing that but Johnson does look a LOT more threatening on the left than the right and it seems only Mancini cannot see this. He moved to the left in the rags match for like 5 minutes at weekend and really threatened,

IMHO we should keep Weiss for ourselves next season like others already pointed out SWP is too inconsistent, Petrov's contract is out and Bellamy's knees are dodgy and the papers today are filled with more stories on him wanting to leave.
