I decided some time ago, that for health reasons...and fear of getting just too hyped up, I would miss both the Villa and Spurs matches and do what Dub is doing. Watch it on the radio at home on my own...where I could be at peace with muself.

PROBLEM....It didn't quite work out like that....I spent the whole match on the edge of my nerves, far worse than they would have been had I gone...By the first few minutes any semblance of fingernails had been digested and I was into a main course of fingers.
I spent most of the game just stood rooted in the doorway, huffing and puffing on a chain of cigs...sending occasional updates to Gillie...
...Fuck knows what I am gonna do tomorrow...any suggestions?...apart from the obvious.

I find the radio far more nerve-wracking.

Trust me, it is
....Fulop to Bridge...to De Jong...to Vieira...to Bellamy...to Tevez....to Johnson...to Adebayour.
By this time you are hyped because with all those passes and where you imaginer those players to be...they must be within shooting range and you are ready for it.....when you hear....to Toure....then Fulop.
It works the other way round too....The mind creates its own patterns of play, usually to extremes and it is not good for the nerves.

The worst bit is the commentators talking interminable crap and ignoring the game for minutes on end, when you can hear the crowd noises and reactions to the match.

Fuck it...it's the TV for me tomorrow.
The thing that will really piss me off is that I will be working early evening and I will get a job to the ground and see all the blues marching up the New Road....That's when it will hit home and I will be feeling very very sorry for myself.

I don't know how our fans from other countries cope with never getting the chance to go....that would reaaly suck.

only thing i can say sounds a bit poxy mate.. keep in mind whatever happens during this game we will be there next year.. sit back and trust in the lads to come through..

and if you really need something to keep your mind off things then work out what a class celebration would be; that you definately should be caught doing if things go well for us

and it sucks being so far away.. wouldn't give up spain for anything but clearly there is a price for everything.

just have to make up for it when we come to meet barca again ;)

the train to Madrid wouldn't totally break my bank..

It's not so bad, a lot less rags walking the streets and those that do are so fucking clueless that it's fun to kick the kittens.

My living room on the telly, SkyperfecTV, channel 308, in the unlikely event of there being any other Blues round these parts.

A 4am kick off is not ideal, I have to say. I dunno if there are any bars open/showing it as I haven't been to watch City in a pub for yonks.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

John I find, after taking my valium my beta blockers and only one can of fosters with a baileys chaser that a mixture of radio, teletext, tv and internet mixed in a 3,5,1,2 combination whilst wearing my scarf round my waist and keeping my shoelaces undone until the last ten minutes of the match USUALLY yields a favourable result.

Unfortunately tonight I shall be in the Colin Bell stand with my lad and nowhere to hide!

I am organizing a big event for this match.

I will be watching it tucked in bed underneath the laptop table next to a pack of orange capri-sun.

In a small dark room with just me and a TV.

If we win i'll regret it and wish id gone to the pub to share the excitement. If we lose, ill be glad i stayed in.

If we lose i think it will put me off football for a year.
