I'll pop in to St. Paul's on the way to the Pub. Although it's not fair to ask for nothing but Wins. You need to be reasonable with your requests. Perhaps City Fans will be rewarded in heaven whilst RAGs get a trident shoved up their arse for the rest of eternity!

My nerves are fine. I'm working until 5pm and it's generally only threads like this that start the nerves off as I'm the only Blue here.

I was dead confident before the derby game, more than I'd been for years. But the last minute loss knocked me for six. It took three days to recover, and I'm really, really shitting myself for tonight.

I hope we score early to settle the nerves. Not the teams.....mine. I should be ok if we're 4-0 up by half time.

I was thinking of putting a tenner on spurs to win. That should fuck them up.

Come on City.

I hit a church in Knutsford for a quick chat with JC at lunch time (honestly), he didnt say much but I got the feeling we've got buy in from him on this one. Think he was a bit miffed that I had not spopken to him in some time, to then approach him for a footballing related matter, but as it related to the 'Baggy Faced One' there was hopefully agreement.

My nerves are shot through - worse than before the carling cup rags game. Finding it almost impossible to concentrate on work - glad I'm only here till 4 today...

Im always nervous at important games. This IS City after all. Though I feel the same when the swedish national football team play as well and (to a lesser degree) when the local swedish team of my preference play - AIK.

Lets gatecrash the top 4! Then mount a serious bid for the PL title next year!

we have shown real improvement recently, we have an ace team with some really strong characters.. we are in the best shape we could be in going into this. The teams are reasonably well matched. i really think spurs know something terrible is about to happen to them because this game is going to be about willpower

Vincent Kompany, Nigel DeJong, Patrick Vieira, Craig Bellemy, Carlos Tevez to name just a few

there is no team that could come to coms today and not be under severe pressure, the rags would get the closest to being calm. Spurs are going to wilt under the barrage that the demented City faithful are going to dish out.

this is our moment and we are going to take it.

normally i dont care to see teams lose the plot and crack up.. but in Spurs case i will defo make an exception
there is some serious payback to be had here.

im going to just relax and enjoy the spectacle

I'm very relaxed going into this game.

I would have been worried a little bit about our midfield if I hadn't seen Vieira at first hand on Saturday put in an ace performance. His height and stength and experience will tell for us tonight.

I think he will pick up anything coming off Modric in the midfield and I'm sure De Jong will have the legs to sort Modric out

So all in all I'm quite happy and comfortable. It's not about what Spurs can, might or will do, rather about what City will do and I'm quite confident they are ready for this game.

I think Vieira will sort Huddlestone out . However we must deny them any shots from midfield too. So we need to close down quickly in midfield (especially if they bring on kranjar - is he fit ?).

All in all it's upto carlos , ade , craig and johno to do the work tonight up front and get those goals.

Three hours... I don't know what to do!

Edit: I was sat in the Countryman in Humberston reading the Guardian - and Redkanpp's media-friendly bullshit. So much for serene & cosy country pubs...

Well I'm going to practise playing Springsteen's "Thunder Road " on the piano for about 45 minutes and then it's off down into town to meet the only other City fan in Zürich tonight, some are away on business and all others could get home and are watching live - Lucky B'stards amd already on the piss just off Piccadilly, judging by the constant sms texts I'm getting.

So as Bruce sings "it's a town full of losers , WERE pulling out of here to Win ! ".

Think positive and get yourself a beer .

Why am I not nervous? Every other time we've been in a position of this magnitude (cup, promotion, relegation) I'm always nervous.

3 hours to go and I'm excited, not nervous - I don't get it!

Don't worry! It's merely the calm before the storm. Soon, my friend, you will be pummeling the floor and howling. 'Tis how it is meant to be!

Nerves are shredded.

I am hoping that, today, a replacement for Paul Dickov will be found, to take over the ownership of "Biggest Goal In City History"

Not feeling too good at all. Can honestly say I've never looked forward to a big game less than this one, too much at stake and have a bad feeling that tonight is going to go tits up. Being a fan for 44 years causes this sort of shit.

You may not be able to drink yourself senseless but if its the same Cava I had on a little island off Fiji, you can drink it until you can't feel your face anymore.

Dunno if that would be of any benefit really though...
