Absolutely brilliant interview I feel a lot better after watching that, Khaldoon Al Mubarak you are an absolute hero to our club.

Briefly resurfaced from a media lockdown of Kim Jong-il proportions to watch the interview and glad I did.

Khaldoon is class. Thank god Sheikh Mansour bought us. Can't wait for next season.

Let me know when its safe to put SSN back on.

Nice to hear the they've already had a meeting about next season, so we're back to a plan again.

Seems like we've stopped, had a shit, fed & watered the horses, the waggons are rolling again & we're back on the trail to Eldorado.... yee haaa!

That sums it up nicely for me.

You remember the West Ham quarter final just a couple of years ago?

That night was terrible because it genuinely felt like that was a chance that would not come around again anytime soon. Last night just feels like a hiccup already!

I was delighted with the interview and how he praised Spurs as it showed a bit of class and humility. To be fair, they have had a far harder final run in but they have got the results. They really do deserve the fourth spot this year.

Them getting in has really opened up the Premiership next year as it weakens Liverpool and Arsenal the most as these 2 clubs are skint and will not be able to compete with Spurs, never mind us. Chelsea and the Scum are also destabilised by our continued spending. It could be that we are the wedge that cracks open the cartel at the top of the league and other teams might be poised to join us in filling the void...

Excellent interview, you cannot help but feel better after watching it.
Good that they have moved early to finish the speculation about Mancini, now we can focus on the job in hand.

Its no coincidence this much needed boost was given when we needed it most and if you only take one thing from this fantastic interview, I suggest you take
"the biggest thing this season was dealing witht he massive expectation - its to be expected when you put in as much resources as we have, but a championship winning side has to be built with the right mentality and it cannot be done overnight. We knew this at the start. I couldn't be more excited about the next season - already we are meeting about the next stage."

I think at some stage all of us were guilty of letting expectation run away with us to a certain degree, but that was our truely transtional season and its going to be a belter next season. Our profile has been raised ten fold this season and I think we'll get the players we want regardless of last nights blip.

Oh and Bob asked is it safe to turn on SSN - yes, it most certainly is.... on the day after Spurs qualified for the champions league, the 9:00 news main headline is "Manchester City are fully behind Mancini and the chairman says he's gonna let him keep on spending".

I think that says it all about who's actually the "big club" these days.

As the late Jimmy Brown once said "I feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel nice, like sugar and spice...."

Just having a dose of Khaldoon before i brave the trek into work and the onslaught from the plastic rags. I was heartbroken AGAIN on Wednesday and really got it in my head that we will be forever doomed to be a nearly team and always set to fail at the final hurdle but hearing Khaldoon i do now have hope again.......

He was spot on about making sure everyday its drummed into the players about Spurs celebrating on our pitch and in our house and that we do not allow this to happen again. If that cant motivate a player than nothing can.

Inter are top of Serie A, won a Pot on Thursday and are in the Final of the Champions League. Why would he come to City?

Time to change your signature, Old Man.

Side splitting humour and Mancini banter aside, im an advocate for stability. I think if we could get Mourinho or Wenger or someone who has been there and won it in the Premier League then we should definately get them. Mancini's record shows he has some managerial nous at least and we've seen glimpses here of him potentially getting it right. Its just a shame he's often got it wrong.

Im all for giving him the summer and a chance to get us off to a flyer next season. With the expected investment again this summer im going to be looking at us being in the top 4 come next christmas, maybe even the top 2/3.

After Wednesday i came to the conclusion that i wasnt too fussed about his position. If someone better is available then we'll take him. If not then its not a bad shout to give Mancini the chequebook, the summer and let him build a team and squad.

Hopefully he'll learn from Hughes's mistakes and come up with multiple formations and styles that the players feel comfortable in and buy some top class central midfield players.

trying to buy success in the way of just overpaying Mourinho to come would just make City as much disliked as Chelsea became.

Lets build this in our own way.. the club and fans are much much bigger than any fuclin manager.. and we have the chance to build our own style and our own success based on that.. and our Chairman looks like he understands that more than some of our own impeccable fans.

We are going to spend a boatload of money again on players this summer so I dont see why bringing in a world class manager would be the tipping point of making City dislikable to the neutral?

World class manager + world class team = success.

We'll be working on the latter, if there was one of the former available, why not get him?

exactly. And for the record i could give two fucks about the neutrals and their compassion and or hatred for City.

unless this guy is our next manager, i'm fine with the shot that Mancini will have. If however the star below is available i think he could do wonders to build up our self-esteem and will. ahem.
