I'd like to see one of the Mods make this a poll with a full squad list to choose from.

I would love to bin Garry Cook. Manchester City always had a "good name". But when Alistair Mackintosh left and Cook took over, City's integrity seemed to go at the same time.
He just doesn't know how to run a football club properly. His handling of the sackings of both Sven and Hughes were appalling. His comments about AC Milan when we were trying to sign Kaka were totally out of order. But his biggest crime in my eyes was not inserting a recall clause into Joe Hart's loan contract. As CEO of a football club he should have known to ensure it was there. He was apparently "furious" that Birmingham wanted £1.6M to release Joe from his loan contract but they shouldn't have had any choice. We should have been able to recall Joe instead of having to sign Fulop.
P.S. Get well soon Shay.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.

Well, looking at our bench recently I dont think we've got much scope for a mass cull in adition to the extra matches next season however the few I'd consider 'relieving of thier post's' would be (not mentioning Vieira as thats a given - I hope):

RSC - Sorry too injury prone, 1.5 matches and then 4 weeks injured, needs 1 game to get back to match fitness and isn't able to come on in an impact roll. Although no doubt he's talented we can't afford the match time he needs to get up to speed every month or so and he's too injury prone to be relied upon to be there as cover for Ade.

Petrov - couldnt stop touting how he wanted to leave last summer (or was it Jan??), as with RSC he's more and more injury prone so cant be relied upon. When fit he isn't any better than Bellers or Johnson on the left and I'd even consider Garido on LW over him.

Sylvinhio - Has nothing more to give us apart from maybe the first few Carling Cup games.

With the exceptions of Hart, Logan and Weiss, all other loaned players need to go.

Other than that I have no major beef either with the rest of the players, we will need a good squad next season and we already have the foundations for that - with a couple of key additions we'll be fine.

Unfortunatly Garry Cook doesn't set out Premier League Rules so can't really be blamed there ... and prior to Shay's injury, the loan to Brum was working very well for us - giving Joe much needed Premier League experiance.

Bin no one. We have a good squad. The only reason players should leave is either that they are out of contract or we receive a good offer for a player that isn't a first team regular and we don't see a future for them here.

Bin no one. Add two or three over the summer. If a player doesn't see a future for themself at our club they should go.

Garry Cook. On top of all his other shite, and fuck me there has been a lot of it, he has this last few weeks treated long-term City season ticket holders like nothing more than counters on a board game. Fuck off Cook, you fucking know-nothing wanker. You are not fucking wanted and you are not fucking needed.

And you cannot put a recall clause in a season long loan.

I'm on with my mobile so can't do it right now. Good idea though.

For me, RSC, Toure when we get better centerbacks and apart from Hart and Weiss all the players on loan right now. Although I would be partial to idea of giving Bojinov a chance in preseason. Rest of them are waste of our resources as we are paying most of their wages. Extra work is needed getting rid of Jo and getting something back for Robinho.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

taylor, zabaleta, Ireland, swp, sly, garrido, petrov, RSC, Toure, all of the loanees apart from hart, Adebayor, Richards

all of them not good enough for me, they've all played like they don't give a shit this season imo with the exception of Sly, who I would keep on in a coaching role - it sounds harsh, but fuckit, I'm feeling harsh at the moment.

SWP I don't think can cut it at the highest level so can see him going unless he is happy to come on as sub or play in CC games. Toure I would dispense with. Taylor can go, Sly will probably go. RSC good player but if you can't play then whats the point. Ditto with Petrov although I do like the guy. Bellers will I think go - just can't see him and Mancini spending the season together. Tevez also has to sort his head out re Mancini because if he don't then offski. Robinho well who cares really...

...actually its going to be fairly easy. Mancini first and foremost is looking for the right mindset and attitude. Khaldoon judging by the interview also wants this. You ain't got it in Mancini's opinion then you are out no matter who you are or what you have done.

Agree with those, plus most of the loanees. They have to make a decision on RSC too, either that he's crocked/ Mancini doesn't want him anyway or he's fit & Mancini wants him, in which case we have to have at least SOME players who can cross a ball otherwise the whole idea of keeping him is just a bad joke. If he does go I hope he doesn't go to Spurs. Him & Crouch at COMS next season with Bale/Lennon out wide= danger Will Robinson, DANGER!

Trying to read Mancini's mind and work out exactly how he wants to play and what players he think's fit with that or that he just doesn't fancy isnt easy.

I feel he might let Adebayor go of the "top" players but keep some of the others as good squad players like SWP/Toure/Bellers..Most of the list above are almost automatic to go Taylor/Gunner//Sylvinho/Garrido/Logan/Etuhu/Petrov/Jo/Benjani/Robinho.The likes of Ireland/Micah and Nedum will probably have to make do as part of a squad so I can see them going if the right offer comes in but I hope Mancini would like to keep them around ( especially with the need for home grown players in a squad.)

Villa's resources aren't even in the same league as ours. Furthermore, most sources suggest they have no money to spend this summer.

TOURE - BARRY - Vieira - IRELAND - RICHARDS - SYLVINHO - WRIGHTY - ADEBAYOR - PETROV - ROBINHO(FOR GOOD) AND LASTLY SANTA CRUZ

So basically i think the only players we have that give a fuck and should stay are Tevez, Given, Johno, Kompany and de jong apart from that fuck them all, if we can get replacements then do it and good ridence to them, especially ade the lazy smiling crack head looking motherfucker "I missed HAHAHAHAHA, Doesnt matter i get paid anyway HAHAHAHA". I'd give lescott a pass to see whether he will come back swinging and bring back vlad.

From a thread i started with 11 games to go..

brite blu sky wrote:
So i thought an assessment of the squad would be in order, as the last 11 games is a good run for players to step up their game and make a claim for next season. Considering also that if Mancini stays he will want to solidify the squad in terms of players that are good enough for him to go forward ( pos in the CL too ).

• Shay Given (IRL) no problem
• Joe Hart * (ENG) might come back

• Joleon Lescott (ENG) all to play for WC, CL, will want to be City's 1st choice CB
• Sylvinho (BRA) may retire - but 1 more season as CL experienced back up
• Wayne Bridge (ENG) will show what england are missing out on and try to secure his pos at City
• Javier Garrido (ESP) 25 yr old, can improve .. could be out though if we buy a better LB
• Nedum Onuoha (ENG) good back up - is still part of the future
• Micah Richards (ENG) really has to show something to go to WC and will get pushed aside at City if not
• Kolo Toure (CIV) really really has to show something or he is gone
• Pablo Zabaleta (ARG) solid utility at minimum, will stay whatever the weather

• Adam Johnson (ENG) future star? not under pressure imo
• Gareth Barry (ENG) very secure no problem
• Patrick Vieira (FRA) should retire
• Nigel de Jong (NED) still needs to improve all round game, but should not be under threat
• Stephen Ireland (IRL) just needs stability, dont think he is under any threat
• Michael Johnson (ENG) n/a will still be here, next season is his chance
• Vincent Kompany (BEL) solid, versatile no threat whatsoever
• Martin Petrov (BUL) will be replaced for sure
• Vladimir Weiss* (SVK) future star? no pressure
• Shaun Wright-Phillips (ENG) WC and CL to fire him on to get regular starts

• Emmanuel Adebayor (TGO) this season is a write off, but also defining, needs some good performances to show he can be the man next season and not be under question over the summer.
• Craig Bellamy (WAL) no need to say anything here
• Robinho * (BRA) wont play in PL, sold after WC
• Roque Santa Cruz (PRY) will be replaced for someone to compete with Ade
• Carlos Tevez (ARG) no need to say anything

From that assesment to now, i would only add that Toure has improved definately, and Ade has shown a lot more and has tried a lot more, kept his head down. Could yet be a key player.
