If you believe the News of the World, and I don't, then Crocky will be going the other way.

That'd be schweet deal though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

And manager Roberto Mancini admitted for the first time that the Blues are “quite close” to clinching the deal for the 6ft 3ins star.

He has been labelled as the best defender in the Bundesliga, and City beat off strong interest from Bayern Munich to sign him.

Mancini said: “Boateng is a good player, a young player and strong. He plays for the national team and we have a good chance to get him.

“We are quite close to signing him.”

Him and Kompany in defence next season would be a fucking strong pairing! Not to mention he can move to RB and let Lescott play CB if need be.

Thing is though, players who are involved in World Cup don't usually want to change clubs before competition so it will be bit of an uphill struggle.

Not all. There are players who want to have it all settled before the WC, so that they can concentrate 100% on the tournament. But those are of course exceptions.
