We have a stable board, owner and chairman. We now have a stable manager for another season atleast, baring a right fuck up. We now need to move fast and get our fullbacks in, our centre mid sorted, then see who isnt 100% commited, and replace them with better players too.

Our big chance this season was because every team around us had energy sapping distracting European football midweek for more than half the season. We didnt, we had a little league cup run. We should have been fresher, mentally and physically this season.

Next season we're on telly on thursdays.

I really really hope Mancini is the real deal, and can take us to the heights we want. At the moment im still not sure, last night I didnt want to see him again, but we all get ratty and say silly things on here, thats why we like it and come back - you can get things off your chest. With a pre season, freshly prepared squad and 4 or 5 of his players, playing in his style, it might work.

I do think he knows his shit more than Hughes. Its a step up.

Solid post, I agree. He definitely knows his shit more than Hughes he was a cunt dressed up as a football manager.

Id actually be glad to see the back of Adebayor and also chuffed that he didnt just stick around and sit of his silly contract. Id rather us get a player in that has a bit of pride and passion. The guy will always pop up with the odd tap-in ,but I feel we should ship out and get some one better..As for Bellamy, he has been a great player but I also wouldnt lose any sleep if he left as I feel we could get someone better and younger. Tevez, Id be a bit gutted but I hate havin someone at the club that doesnt want to be here.

Its prob bollox, but there are a few players that Ill actually be really glad to get off our books. Fookin crazy Hughes signings!! Im sorry, but that guy was a fookin mad man with our owners money. I cant wait to see Mancini spend it properly.

Manx Blue wrote:I've read Tolmie over on Blue Moon. He obviously has to be someone with access to the hierarchy as well as playing side, so I think we'd be looking at someone from the media side ie Bailey, Ferguson, Nield etc.

They would surely get to know who our targets are, so information regarding a new player could be presented on the OS in a professional and timely fashion, rather than " we've signed Joe Bloggs, more later".

Again they would have to be in and around the changing room area and have the info clarified by to or three sources.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that I can't understand who such connection in hierarchy would be, apart from Mancini or Bryan Kidd maybe, who'd know all those things. Unless he knows BOTH members of playing/management staff AND someone high on executive level. Which would beg the question who Tolmie would be with such connections. There are handfull of people even in media who have such extensive connections and they are ALL so well known that they'd be foolish to risk it all by spreading the stuff on Bluemoon. These connestions are very much built on trust. Even our very own posters with close ties to Club, Kippax and Doug, don't tell everything here. Probably not even close. Never mind people with close connections to different levels of Club. Someone like Nield MIGHT post POSITIVE inside track but he would never be foolish enough to say stuff like "Tevez is looking to leave". I hope he wouldn't or otherwise we'd be partying like it's 1993 again. I (was?) genuinely hope (/hoping?) that era in our Club is (/would be) over.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well, it seems that he is talking about Roque, but I have read from a few filler pages that he would be makeweight in the Boetang deal, hardly groundbreaking stuff.

Each Forum can't possibly be equal in terms of content, posting ability and how well run they are.

Bluemoon has lots of pulling power and influence - but it's too immature / Scally for my liking. And I also wouldn't say this place has ever been harmonious so an Us vs Them tag is unfair because the Us isn't 100% for anything.

I'm sure there are some decent posters on there (although I have to say that most of the ppl on here who quote and refer to BM are not exactly amongst my "go to" posters which kinda speaks for itself) but you have to wade through 20 posts of utter idiocy to hit one sensible comment and then repeat the process to find the next half coherent one.

We have our own quota of mongs here but we are 80/20 and Bluemoon always seems much more 20/80.

just more attention seeking. the guy seems to get stories from the press and turn them into his own. bet it gives him a laugh though as as usual there are a load of gimps lapping it up.

if he wants to come on here and PM me his 'source' i promise i wont tell anyone.

Always entertaining having a quick read on Bluemoon, though the words "pinch of salt" need to be added.

I am pleased to hear that on reading some of the expert ITK's on there, we will be signing Boateng, Higuain, Gerrard, Torres, Di Maria, De Rossi, Messi, Cruyuff (circa 1974) and Jesus Christ himself this summer. What a squad - unfortunately as the place is filled with attention sekers and wanna be tabloid journo's, forgive me if I dont go and get my Torres tattoo just yet.

Hasn't that already happened, i'm pretty sure the second coming of christ happened at maine road a few years ago. There was a TV programme on it and everything, haha.

It'll be good to get the lad up at the new place though. haha.

"Hi my names is Bob and I post on Bluemoon'

tolmie is ok. Like any 'itk' the default response should always be 'bollocks' but I gave him more credence then others on BM. Come to think of it he is the only one with any credibility on BM.

So why the BM hate? Is it a banning offence if I say I like the forum?

Absolutely not. We are all Blues and horses for courses.

I myself like to read Blue Moon every now and then and I think I have few hundred posts as well. Only problem for me is the juvenile bullshit that sometimes floods the whole board. But there are some very very sound posters there as well. I think it's the ITK stuff that do my head in the most. If you go through the trouble of going through some of the poor stuff, there are proper gems there as well.

Oh yeah, and there are quite a few people there who can't stand us either. Fair play, I say.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
