Agree with the "isnt good enough to be a first teamer" but I still reckon he could be used in any emergency we might face for a last 20 minutes on the pitch ??????

I like him and I would like to see him in some sort of role for Man city..he just oozes positivity and experience..thats got to count for something and have its uses?

I like him too, he seems a thoroughly decent chap as others who have met him have confirmed.

It worried me the way he was used sometimes bizarrely by Mancini, so for that reason alone I am reasonably happy that he is going - because those substitutions involving Sylvinho gave me kittens most times. He has good experience, but we should free up the wages for someone who can play a more meaningful role than 20 minutes when Mancini decides to shut up shop

exactly. There are loads of nice guys in this world and we can't employ them all. There's also loads of completely cunts. Some of them are on our pay roll. And rightly so if they can play football well.

If Sylvinho wants to stay as a youth team coach on 500 per week and staff in Academy see him usefull then he can stay as a coach. Otherwise he needs to get on his bike.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Yes. Coach or Youth role.

I think he will have a great career in the future in some sort of role, so why not with us! He hasnt been great on the pitch (apart from the scunthorpe goal) but I get the impression he puts a lot in behind the scenes. Lets pay him back and help him out on the ladder to his next part of his career.

Yep. I agree with all that.

I can't help thinking about that interview when they sacked Lesley and appointed Bobby. Sylvinho came across like a really top bloke and when fighting on four fronts next season, I reckon he'll do a job and probably teach the kids a thing or two.

I don't think he's gonna be a mainstay, but think he'll be fine in cameos for another year.

I dunno a thing about his ability to coach, BUT if he has something to offer and wants to pursue it, maybe we can take advantage of his Brazilian connections in some way (and/or tie him in with the US academy that got mentioned some months ago)

I like the idea of Sylvinho & Vieira being around the club for their influence & would like to see us use more of it at youth/reserve level. It must hit home more when a Champ's League or World Cup winner tells something to a young player rather than some ex 3rd div player or ex plumber or council worker. It should help the less famous coaches to get their point across if they're endorsed by Patrick Vieira.

There's also the future 'globalisation' of the club. We need ambassadors to exert our influence worldwide, help us attract young players etc, especially with wankers like Robinho belittling us in public. Getting those two involved would be a good start imo. We can't just rely on a bunch of blokes who won trophies in the 60's + Uwe & Paul Dicov.

I also think both are decent squad players, so it's a matter of how much wages they're on. It's up to Mancini, Marwood & co to decide what they think they're worth to the club as a whole, on & off the pitch.
