Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (Roma), Heurelho Gomes (Tottenham)

Defenders: Maicon (Inter Milan), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (Roma), Luisao (Roma), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Michel Bastos (Lyon)

Midfielders: Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Josue (Wolfsburg), Elano (Galatasaray), Ramires (Benfica), Kleberson (Flamengo), Kaka (Real Madrid), Julio Baptista (Roma)

Forwards: Robinho (Santos/Manchester City), Nilmar (Villarreal), Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Grafite (Wolfsburg).

Not a bad squad that but not as strong as previous squads.Im surprised to see no Ronaldinho as he had a return to form this year.
The defence strangely enough for brazil is the strongest element of the side. Will be worth watching as usual. They could have done with Pato in the side, i think they will miss him.
Who would have thought Jo would have lost his place in the national side, funny old game.

I've decided it would be a travesty if AJ doesn't go.
I don't think we've seen a more gifted english left footer for years.
He would balance the side perfectly.
Get shut of Joe cole, he's been out all year and done sweet FA.
I have to say im really happy at least some of the old "definate" picks are being shown the door.

Would he be playing left wing if he got on the pitch though?

Cannot believe that SWP has made that initial squad

He should count himself extraordinarily lucky that he has got a chance to stake his claim now

He's been fucking toilet all season

Downing being left out is a shocker for me, we only have AJ and Barry in that squad with a decent left peg. It looks a little unbalanced to me.

Didn't he get an assist against us? And two goals when they played Burnley at home?

Its unbelievable that he kept johnson out of that boro team for so long. When we played them it was clear that AJ was a far better player than downing

What about Young? How are SWP and Walcott ahead of him in the pecking order?

Because they are right wingers and Young is a left winger(until he gets shut out and cries).

Bollocks. He didn't have a problem tearing Bridge a new arsehole on the right side. Plus, there's a shortage of 'left wingers' in the England squad compared to 'right wingers' anyway.

Yes, cause he was getting nothing from Zabs and switched.

It's true, our left is looking fucking anemic, I have no idea what Capello is thinking, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a central midfielder lining up wide left.
