Too bad for Fulham, but they really did not pose much of an attacking threat to Atletico Madrid. Like 2/3 of the teams in the Premier League, they could really use a great striker. Was not very impressed with Sergio Aguero. He seems to work much better in la Liga than in European competitions. It wasn't that he did not get in good positions, but that he did not really influence the game at all. If Forlan had not been there, Fulham could have at least taken it to penalties.

I don't feel sorry for Fulham at all. The better team won.
Their fans have had a wonderful and definitely unexpected run in the competition and they've beaten some quality sides. But when it came down to it they weren't good enough.
What's to feel sorry about??

I thought there was no way they would win it, but then again I thought they wouldn't get past Juventus, Wolsburg, Hamburg or Shaktar.

Good effort though.

Everytime I watch Aguero, he seems like he's got all the attributes, skill, power, pace etc but turns into Darius Vassell when he reaches the penalty area. If he could strike the ball more consistantly or not miss quite so many simple chances then he'd actually be the player some people say he is.

I feel sorry for Fulham because they did so well to get there. Beating Shakhtar, Hamburg, Wolfsburg, Juventus etc.

Everyone in the Pub last night was cheering Fulham on.

Ha!! My mates Mrs is just hidden behind the chic in black - recovered now - was a great night and there´s still the Spanish cup final to come which I´m going to pass on even though I can probably get a ticket , due to the expense of being caught by the ashcloud last month - had we not been stranded in Copenhagen I think that would have been a shoe-in. The great news is that we´re both in Europa league next season so we could cross paths at some stage
