Nope, he initially loaned it but then they effectively cleared it all down. We are not in the same boat as them

Roman Abranivich is still owed 726 million pounds by Chelsea despite reports that he has written off the loan
Mike J wrote:Abranivich, Abranovich??? who?
;-)
The clubs debt to the holding company has yet to be repayed, but the holding company's debt to Abranovich has yet to be repayed. (Whole sentence makes no sense)
"The loan is intrest free ,but it is repayable if Abranovich gives 18 months notice".writes David Conn of the guardian
' the russian could still demand the money back some day, either if the club is making a profit or if he were to sell it'
'He has not in fact ,written of the h=uge loans he has made on his Chelsea adventure

Judging by the grammar in that article, it's not written by a real journalist. Probably a kid getting his facts mixed up. To quote a section:The clubs debt to the holding company has yet to be repayed, but the holding company's debt to Abranovich has yet to be repayed. (Whole sentence makes no sense)

Sorry mate, were you paraphrasing the original article, or is that how it was spelled etc. on the Yahoo website? Wasn't having a go at the grammar per se, but you've got to admit it's nowhere near publishable journalist standards.
