I don't want to sound like a conservative wacko (tongue in cheek) but I don't see how wearing
the 'Three Lions' is wrong. Besides if the fans feel like making themselves nationalist jackasses,
there is always pepper spray, batons and tear gas to make them change their minds.

And there are always more individuals with riot gear waiting around the corner!!

I cannot believe any idiot would believe rumours started on facebook. BNP propoganda? Daily Mail Bullshit? Nah, just some young pissed-up prick chucked out of a pub after behaving badly after breathing the too much fumes from a beer mat. Just so happens he had an England top on and vented his childish anger online. Unfortunately people have started to believe everything they read on internet forums nowadays.
I long for the days when things were put into perspective and shit like this was taken with a pinch of salt.

Lots of Pubs ban colours on Match Day. Especially in a City Centre. You get some Pubs with nobody in replica gear and some Pubs with everybody.

Near enough every Boozer will not be overzealous enough to try and enforce the alleged ban. Not that I believe it's even true.

Hi Garry,I just wanted to shake your hand and ask you a question.I go to COMS as mucha as possible but sometimes I cannot leave the house as Sophie.....sorry..Sophie is my Cat...... needs a carer when Im away and sometimes I cannot find one.
My question is ; Is it possible to bring Sophie to matches at COMS in her kitten box and can she come in for free?

Theres enough evidence in this thread FROM CERTAIN POSTERS WITH FIRST HAND EXPERIENCIES to suppport the notion that the police are sticking their noses in yet STILL there are people on here that refuse to believe it.

No you need two flags of St G sticking out of your car windows and a nodding toy bulldog - It's what Churchill would want

The Sun latching onto an urban myth to help fill their pages with worthless crap again? Well i'll be damned, whatever next? Lazy journalism?

I give this story about as much credit as the one they done about Argentinian hooligans going over to SA in droves to ambush English supporters. They never took into account the country is crippled and most people in Argentina haven't got a pot to piss in and Argentinian fans are asking the clubs to pay for them to go over to support their national team.

Just because a story appears in a paper doesn't make it fact, in fact, if it appears in a red top it virtually ensures it is bullshit.

i think we got our wires crossed here mate - i totally agree with you, the point i was trying to make it that a national newspaper - which is read by hundreds of thousands of people and no matter how bigoted it is actually influences the opinions of said readers - is giving this story an airing as if it is some kind of attack on England. Its aim seems solely to stir up bad interracial feelings, and if anyone remembers the shit that went on in Oldham a few years back you will know it is completely and utterly irresponsible.

The police have advised me and my mates not to drink any more when they've seen us wobbling down the street on weekend nights. Fact.

Doesn't mean they can enforce it.

Oh, Devon & Cornwall police force haven't been told to advise anyone either so far.
