Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I just wish Umbro would do some retro ones. Not like Toffs or Score draw but proper official Umbro retro like they've done with England. I'm sure they'd sell well and there's nowt to stop em cos there weren't any sponsors logos on em up to the early 80s. I'd deffo buy 77-81 home and away if they did.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I'd say last season's Home Shirt and our 3rd Shirt are both pretty retro in comparison to previous kits. I still don't feel like I've had £40 worth of wear out of my Home Shirt, though.

Hi Garry,I just wanted to shake your hand and ask you a question.I go to COMS as mucha as possible but sometimes I cannot leave the house as Sophie.....sorry..Sophie is my Cat...... needs a carer when Im away and sometimes I cannot find one.
My question is ; Is it possible to bring Sophie to matches at COMS in her kitten box and can she come in for free?

Hopefully they shouldent change them too much and my opinion is that they shouldent change the away strip at all as that is one of the best ones i have ever seen and their shouldent be any rush to change the strips anyway.

If I had to describe the current kit in one word, 'retro' would be it. Apart from teh black one. They're all quality though. I'd be surprised and disappointed if we changed kit suppliers so soon..

Well even if we did keep the away, I would prob buy it again as mine has faded and I also have that tosser Robinho on the back..Really nice shirt but lookin forward to the change.

It always baffles me when people moan about new shirts YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE FOOKERS !! and then people moan that they have kids. If you cant afford it, tell the spoilt gits straight .

It's not a leaked pic of the kit just a mock up but can BT confirm is it anything like this?

Anyone else tired of all these mint looking retro kits?

We need some fucking mid 80s style abominations back in football. Something with a bit of spunk.

Bring back the perm too!

fashion, like rock and roll, happens in trends and waves. 3 more years of retro cool, and the resurgence of heavy metal should provide for some gaudy, edgy-fitting gear which meets the above requirements.

cheers

I agree with you about the current shirts but Umbro have been making kits for City since 1934 so they have a fair few to go at. Personally i'm not impressed by the retro shirts produced by companies like Toffs and Score draw. I don't class them as replicas.

The 1977 home and away kits were the first kits I had as a child and would love them again (in adult sizes this time though). Originals are few and far between and you can pay 3 figures for a decent one. Umbro have re-released a shed load of England retro replicas going back to 1966, the only difference being "Tailored by Umbro" is embroidered on the sleeve. If only they'd do the same with some of the City ones.

The item I have seen is not the actual kit. It is a licensed product which is designed around the kits.

All I can tell you is the item I saw did not have a collar. I also saw the United version and that did have a collar (which their new kit does) which makes me think our new kit won't..... Unless of course City didn't want the licensed product to have one, which I don't know either way.

I'm not so keen on our Black / Gold Away Shirt. More Purple or Red & Black Stripes is City.

I'm personally bringing back short shorts. This baggy basketball influenced farce needs to end.

I'm not saying i'll achieve this single-handed, but when it happens (and it will) everyone in my commute peloton will know I was ahead of the curve, doing my bit.

I've heard a rumour of a similar Home kit to our present 3rd kit. i.e. Sponsor underneath the crest and a white diagonal stripe. I've heard another rumour of the badge in the middle of the kit and slightly more white trim.

Either way, 2 years please City.

The Inter Shirts look HORRIBLE imho... the best one was the white away one with the huge red cross that looks like a crusaders overcoat or something.

I hope our new kits won't have collars... hate them.
